Kadie the Cow — Attraction in Columbus

I was born and raised in Columbus Ga since 92'. Kadie has been grazing that spot my entire life and long before me. When I was a teenager she had a baby calf appear one night, and just as magically as it appeared, it mysteriously disappeared in the middle of the night. Such an udder shock. But hopefully the calf will be steered back home some day!!

She is the best landmark around here for sure. If you REALLY like cows, then it's worth the trip. Or if you live in Columbus and surrounding area, its a easy to get to leisure activity. Just dont try to steal her or degrade her!! The town will have a cow!! Rightfully so.

Kadie is a local landmark. I'm 57 and she's been up on the hill since I can remember. She was initally there when Kinnett's Dairy was located in the old Best Buy spot. There was talk for a couple of years, of moving her (her baby calf was stolen a few years back and hasn't been seen since), but locals let the politicians know how they felt about moving Kadie, and for once, the politicians and officials listened....

Kadie the Cow is a treasure for the locals. Kadie sits where Kennett Dairy was located. This was one of our favorite places to take field trips to in Elementary school. We would tour the plant and right before we left we would each get ice cream. Before loading back on the bus the entire group would gather in front & around Kadie for a picture for the yearbook.
