If I could give 0 stars, I would. I should have known from a mall nail salon that they would suck. I figured with it being polaris, they would be better. They suck. We went in knowing we wanted the $45 special of gels and mani. My daughter knew that acrylics are super harsh on nails. First, I went in for my daughter and my son's gf to get birthday nails done. They told me 30 minutes and write the names down, go away, and come back. So we did. The book had spots for name, time, what we wanted done. She said write names, i wrote only names. We came back and we had to wait another 45 minutes. Really was hoping that it was like food. Good stuff takes time. Lol. So I let the girls other go back and I went in the mall with my toddler. They said 1 hr. They finally got pulled back to a table. Then j was getting snaps from my daughter about how gross everything was. I thought she was showing me he had a drink. I was like... chill... he can have a drink lol. She goes, look at the guard. Ok, it was gross, but isnt that what a guard is supposed to do? Catch the spit? I mean, they could wash it every now and then, but, whatever. Told her to relax, try and have fun. My daughter messaged me angain shortly after the guy sat down and told me that the guy was super aggressive with my son's gf. So I went in and asked the girls if everything was OK. I already was leery of what was going on. Dude kept getting me to sit down, which I couldn't. Toddler and all. I was letting the girls been teenagers and gossip or whatever without a mom around. The gf told me everything was ok. She was ok. OK. I left again. Came back about 20 minutes. Gf has acrylics on her nails and my daughter had her last one being put on. I was confused. And they were awful looking. The gf's was completely mis-shaped. I asked.. this is the $45 set, right? He goes. No, 60. Um. The girls knew they were getting gels. The $45 set. He goes. No, she [my daughter]want long nails. My daughter looked up at me like a deer in headlights. Looked at the gf and she shook her head no. I told him. They both knew they were getting the 45 dollar set. They would not have asked for acrylics. He goes. I show you. 60 each. I laughed. And said. No. 45. No more than 45. He goes. I show you on board. So i started walking through the business, poi ted at the gel special on the board. He goes no. Acrylic 6p. I go no. gel 45. This other woman came over. Mind you she spoke worse English than the guy and he spoke very poor English. Understanding them was rough. She goes. What wrong. Told her what happened. She goes. You write down acrylic. I go. No. You told me to write names. I wrote only names. No. You write acrylic. Again. I angry laugh then said. No. I wrote their first name and nothing more. I did as you told me to do and nothing more. She goes. I asked if you want avrylic and you said yes. I go. I most certainly did not. All I talked to you about was to write the bame and then you told the girls to sit down in the chairs whe ln we came back. That was it. Nothing more was said. She looked at the guy and told him to take them off. I looked at him and said, you are going to ruin her nails, leave them on. I was just going to pay for them and leave the review and move on. She screamed, no you take off. I told him, no leave them on. Finish the damn nails. And then we can leave. She goes. No. Take. Off. Nails. Good gosh! As the lady walked away, she was going on and on in her language. Him and her, on opposite ends of the business, yelling back and forth. He snipped all their nails off brutally. As he sanded off the glue, he kept getting her skin around her nails. You could tell how angry he was. Y hiw he was taking it out on my 13 yr Olds fingers. He sanded down her nail so far that she has no nail left on the top of her nail. Raw skin is showing. He put her in the 2nd seat and told her to put her fingers in this tiny bowl. She couldn't figure out how to get all 10 nails, what's left of them, in the bowl with barely any liquid. So she only put one and asked for another bowl....
Read moreIf I could give this salon a 0 I would. I usually go to S&P upstairs from Nail Pro but wanted to save a few extra bucks for a concert I was going to later that evening. I saw on their sign outside that a full set of acrylics were $30 so I was set on getting my nails done there since S&P charges $40 for a full set. I sat down and the nail tech didn't greet me at all and just began filing my nails. She asked me how long i wanted them and I had said a little longer since it was for an event and I just wanted to switch it up a bit. She then pointed at different lengths randomly on my acrylic nail and how much that length would cost which I think is so weird because usually any length is the same price, unless you do a stiletto nail since it takes more time and a lot more patience and talent to do. I settled on what she called "short nails". She then asked what color I wanted and when I told her white she said it would cost $10 more to have my nails painted. She said that she didn't have a regular white polish, only a solar white polish and I told her I absolutely didn't want solar. After I finished washing my hands, I looked at the small selection of nail polish on the wall and she yelled from across the room that she "found" a white polish. She obviously lied to me trying to make me pay more. At this point I was absolutely furious with the service and was put into a horrible mood. My total came out to $46 dollars which is more than I would end up paying at S&P, but with much much worse service. She then wrote on the hand-written receipt "TIP" and had it underlined. I honestly did not want to tip her at all, but she pressured me into it because she kept pointing to it and was staring at me while I wrote "$2.00". Not to mention, she did this while my nails were wet. Thank goodness my boyfriend was with me because my nails were too wet to get my card out on my own. My overall experience was horrible. I do not recommend anyone go here. They scammed me into their service and lied to me all throughout my visit. I could hardly understand my tech and I definitely think she took that to her advantage. She was very aggressive with the way she did my nails. They came out crooked with uneven edges and different lengths all together. I was going to call and complain, but I was so busy that I didn't get the chance to. I will NEVER get my nails...
Read morePLEASE DO NOT GO HERE! I only went because I needed my nails done last minute and they were the only place open! I’m a licensed cosmetologist and the whole time there were red flags. I picked a polish and they kept trying to convince me not to do polish and that I needed to do gel. I don’t like gel and I had said several times that I wanted to stick with polish. They continued bringing me gel samples which got extremely annoying! I was also told the last time I got my nails done that I should get them taken off to do a full new set and I definitely agreed. I told the technician and she kept trying to talk me out of that as well. After I insisted I needed a new set she started prying my nails off and did not seem to care that some of them actually really hurt! She continued the service as I watched like a hawk and boy was I upset. There was barely any product on her brush and she tried speeding up drying them with a UV light which you don’t do with acrylics! I acted like I had the light on but refused to weaken them because she wanted to be lazy. I didn’t think much of it until later that night after they dried I began doing things and useing my hands and my nails were BENDING! I also noticed a few cuts along my nail beds from the files and drills. I went in immediately the next day to get them fixed and they stood there talking amongst themselves (I assume complaining about me) all I wanted was them to put A tad more product in the middle of my nail bed where it dips from lack of product. Three of the nail techs felt the need to blame me for having them too long, the shape, not having gel etc. I’m a nail tech and KNOW that’s not it. They were being lazy and careless. I get the same length and shape with polish and I have never had them so fragile. Right after I left I went back to work and broke and cracked one within a half hour of leaving!! The one broke off and ripped half of my real nail off and the other cracked exactly where I had complained about. The pedicure wasn’t too bad but my nails were definitely cut too short. All of this within 24 hours and for $120?!? They are either clueless or lazy! DONT WASTE YOUR...
