I Scream Gelato - Polaris — Restaurant in Columbus

I went to a back to school event today 8/8 at the Polaris Mall . They gave out 20% off coupons for gelato . When it came for my daughter to get her gelato . The young lady had gloves on but she touched her hair and pulled it behind her ears . When she went to put the sprinkles on I asked could she change her gloves because she touched her hair and now she is touching the sprinkles . She got an attitude . I asked for a new one she just threw out gelato together any kind of way . She needs to have better customer service . They tell you change your gloves when you touch money , hair , phone etc . Why would I want my daughter to eat gelato after someone touched their hair . She should have been mad...

I have never had gelato before until I tried it at “I Scream Gelato” Polaris. And I absolutely loved every flavor I sampled! My favorite is the cheesecake and Reeces flavors - sooo yummy! I also love the little wafer each order comes with; it’s a great way to clean your palette if you try more than one flavor at a time. The service was excellent and the teenagers behind the counter are friendly, quick, and respectful. I also love the gelato is a healthier option over ice cream and that it’s made with milk instead of cream. Highly recommend this place if you’re inside...

Showed up 10 minutes past open (11am) with my two young children to get some ice cream. Got in line and was told by an employee that they aren’t ready. I asked when they opened and she informed me that they open when the mall opens (which was 11am).

She rudely shrugged me off and informed me that I had to come back later while my kids were beginning to cry.

It was 11:10am. You’re suppose to be open at 11. Your customer service was horrible. If you’re going to be rude and unaccommodating, then I don’t care to give you...
