About 6 months before my 30th birthday, I decided I wanted to do something that scared the pants off of me, so I contacted Heather about booking a shoot. I am a plus size girl so I made sure to take time to find someone who knew how to pose plus size women and not use the same basic 3 poses. Seeing Heather’s portfolio, I knew that she would be able to do what I wanted. She was very easy to work with prior to the shoot and helped me make sure I had everything ready for the big day.

On the day of my shoot, I was so nervous. While I was getting hair and makeup done, Heather, the makeup artist, hair stylist, and myself chatted like we were old friends. She had music playing and offered drinks to help with my nerves as well. The entire team was hyping me up after my hair and makeup were done and then I went to change into my outfit and they hyped me up even more! When I tell you my nervousness was gone instantly, I mean instantly. I felt so confident and did things I never thought I would feel comfortable enough doing.

When I had my zoom meeting (thanks, Corona) to go over my photos and choose which ones I was going to use for my book, Heather made it difficult to just choose 15. She gave her input on some of the photos but made sure that the choices I made were the ones I was most happy with. After I got off the call with her, I cried. For many minutes. I have NEVER seen myself as beautiful and the way that she was able to capture me made me think otherwise. I still look at my book usually once a week just as a reminder that I am beautiful despite all the things I see as flaws. If you are on the fence about doing a shoot, please please please just do it. Heather is wonderful to work with and I actually plan on doing at least one more shoot with her in the future. Working with Heather Walker is so much fun from start to finish.

I booked my first photoshoot with her this time last year. She gave me lots of information beforehand so I knew exactly what to expect, how to prepare and what to bring. I felt so pampered getting my hair and makeup done beforehand (included in the shoot). Heather made me feel comfortable and confident from start to finish.

The photo reveal was so much fun! The best part, there is no pressure whatsoever! I chose to purchase (and had budgeted for) 18 photographs and to have my favorite image from the shoot printed on glass. It hangs over my bed, I look at that photograph everyday and I will cherish it forever!

I did another photoshoot yesterday via webcam. Heather helped instruct me on where to put my MacBook and helped pose me the entire time! Made me look and feel like a professional model. It is amazing how many beautiful photos Heather can get from not being in the room and by just taking screen grabs from her computer! Heather is so talented, it shows in her work and her photoshoot experience.

We (my guy and I) did a shoot with Heather and it was one of the best experiences we have ever had. Heather is a lot of fun and made us feel comfortable and relaxed. The experience itself brought us closer together (surprisingly) and I found myself more in love with him than ever.

Receiving the pictures was the best part. We decided to go with the total package. It was way too hard to choose and we couldn't part with any of the photos. Each photo was a beautiful memory and we just love them!

We were lucky enough to do a beach shoot and an indoor shoot which was AMAZING! The thing about it is that Heather made us look like perfection. I am absolutely obsessed with the beach shoot and Trev is loving the indoor shoot. Both were incredible!

We shared some of the photos with our friends and they were simply amazed. They knew we were looking forward to the experience but when we were done they couldn't wait to see the photos. The reactions made us feel even better about the whole experience.
