I recently moved into a new apartment and was ready for a new bed. My 20s are now a memory and I was ready for a “big boy” mattress and frame (gone are the days of an ikea pad tossed on the ground). Given the current environment with the Covid 19 coronavirus I was hesitant to jump right out and shop. I called ahead and was given an appointment in the store by myself. I was assured everything would be sterile and to have my mask with me. Richie was able to line me up with the perfect mattress (for even less than I thought I would pay) and I’ve never been happier about a purchase. I’m on the third floor at my new place and without even seeing the building he was able to line me up with a frame and mattress in boxes that were easy to set up and get into a tight space. After a lot of visiting other mattress stores we stopped by Sleep Outfitters (Britton Parkway, Dublin) on the way home. I told my wife this was the most pleasant sales / purchase experience ever. Most of the other stores had pushy sales people with your typical sales chatter about the quality while constantly trying to push you toward the highest priced items.

From the moment we walked in, Richie answered every single question and could easily compare brand for brand what we were looking for. For example, if you wanted a mattress similar to this brand but in another brand that is lower priced with similar quality. He could describe the feel of the mattress. Ultimately, we ended buying 3 mattresses (king, and two standard twins). We went in intending only on getting the twins, but decided to pull the trigger on getting the king at same time.

If you need to get a mattress, save some time and start there, but if you end up going to the others first, you will appreciate it more when you do ultimately stop in...

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE TO BUY MATTRESS!

The story: We bought a 9,000 dollar tempurpedic mattress at this store. The person who placed the order ordered us a California King base instead of a King, like the mattress size. Manager says he can’t get us a new base for another week and maybe longer. He also says we can still sleep on in but also describes that a Cali king base is longer and skinnier than a king size mattress. So, the manager of this mattress store couldn’t put it together that if the bed is wider than the base it’ll cause the people in it to slowly slide off of it (not too hard to get that even without being a manager at a mattress store.)

Manager states there’s nothing he can do to fix it. And, apparently, they don’t make any money off those sales because the price is fixed according to the tempurpedic company and there’s no changing it.
