Do NOT get delivery it is not worth the hassle. Had to wait a week to get my purchase in which I spent well over $600 for my recliner. I paid another $100 for delivery and delivery guys did not take away old one to put out to the dumpster. I specifically asked the salesperson if they would do this for the 3rd floor. They said yes. I called into the store and the lady who said she was the manager stated that was at their discretion. Well for one I would've never paid someone $100 if they weren't going to take away the old one and put it out to the dumpster. Also the salesperson told me they had to special order my chair and it would take 4 to 6 weeks. This never happened either. They called the same week and said my chair was ready. I don't get how a store doesn't know what is in their inventory. Plus I wasn't even close to even ready based upon what the sales person told me. Then when I didn't pick it up right away I would get phone calls 2-3 times a week saying you still had a balance and needed to pay it so I could come in and make arrangements for delivery. Well I wasn't even ready for it.
They did give me a full refund for the delivery. Which I am grateful for, but I was extremely pissed. Why should I pay that kind of delivery fee and then they don't even do anything for it. I mean I couldn't have even picked it up at the store I would have to drive all the way to Grove City to get it and I live in Dublin. To me I would have been better hiring movers to move it than it would have been to pay this fee. Plus not only that the delivery guys just placed the chair right in the middle of floor didn't even make an attempt to move the old one or even touch it. They seemed more worried about getting out of here than giving good customer service. When I bought my first Lazy-Boy I bought it in Marion, Ohio and I had way better customer service and they a place where I could pick it up at their store. I'm not sure I will be back to the Dublin Store because of this experience.I did end up having to pay another person to move my old furniture out of my apartment. I mean I don't have a truck, and I don't have any way to transport it or people close by to help. So I ended up paying someone else to help when they should have did it in the first place. Read moreWe selected LaZboy furniture for our new living room because we've had LaZboy recliners for years. Seriously, these recliners are probably 20 years old and still look and feel great.
Our salesperson at the Hilliard store, Rona, was very knowledgeable, helpful, and a lot of fun to work with - very personable! She was really patient, too, because we were just starting to look when we first met her, and weren't sure exactly what living room pieces we wanted. We checked out a few other stores, but came back to LaZboy for the comfort of the furniture and the knowledge that their reclining mechanisms have a lifetime guarantee.
We also took advantage of the free in-home design service, to assure that the pieces we liked were a suitable size for our space. Christina came to our home, measured everything, made note of the lighting in the room, and helped us choose from a variety of fabric samples we had pre-selected, and some additional ones she brought along because she thought they might also be good alternatives. (We ended up preferring one that she had added to our selected possibilities!)
A couple of days later, we went back to the showroom to view the 3-D rendering she had prepared, showing the furniture we were considering, in a couple of different arrangements, in our exact space rendered to scale, and with the fabrics we liked. She was very accommodating, making a few possible changes on the fly for us to see. We finalized our choices at that visit, and purchased a sofa, loveseat, and two recliners. Read moreMy husband and I walked through the store, sat on multiple sofas and were met by a lovely associate named Dean. There were no heavy sales tactics at all, and she was accessable when needed to answer our many questions about construction, cushions, fabrics, delivery times. We returned to the store 2 days later after narrowing our search down to two couches in particular, and once again Dean was helpful and patient in every way since this was a pretty pricey purchase for us. We finally chose the Mackenzie sofa for the style, cushion comfort, and fabric. I'm hoping we don't have to wait the full 6 to 8 weeks for delivery since we didn't request any special upholstery. Also, as with all these furniture places, I think $99 delivery is a bit much and should be absorbed in the cost of the furniture somehow when you are spending almost $2,000 on one item. I will update this review when our sofa arrives and add a picture. So far, so good! The store is bright, cheerful, and clean. Looking forward to our couch arriving!
UPDATE: Our new couch was delivered in just a few weeks. We really checked it out and are so pleased with the fabric quality as well as the EXPERT UPHOLSTERY JOB. Our delivery guys were also so very personable, arrived early, and cautiously brought our couch inside and put it in place. I believe they were called Joybird Delivery, and must work with la-z-boy.
