My daughter wanted Stromboli instead of pizza for a change, and we found this place online. We were very happy with everything we ordered- Stromboli, lasagna, meatball sub, potato skins, and cheesy garlic bread. Everything tasted great! It was ready for pick up on time, even though they seemed to be short staffed they were making a huge effort to get everyone's food orders out at the time they promised. They work really hard for their customers and it shows.
The only suggestion I would make is to maybe pare down the menu a bit. There are a LOT of choices and I think it would benefit them to focus on a theme, like just Italian American food while keeping the Halal versions also available for those who follow that diet (it's awesome that customers have this option. I don't think there are many around Columbus). For instance, the hamburgers stood out on the menu since they dont really fit in with a pizza place. Also, all the different types of pizza and Stromboli and such gets a little repetative. Slimming down the menu could keep both the customers and the staff from getting overwhelmed by too many items.
Now that we know Luna is a short drive away, we will be definitely adding it to our restaurant list. The food was tasty and the serving sizes were large. I definitely...
Read morePlaced an order for pizza, wings and cheese sticks, to try out Luna Pizza Kitchen for the first time. Everything tasted great until we found a hair in the wings. I called and the lady was very apologetic and said she would refund me back on the card. No problem. After a couple days there still was no refund so I called back, and she didn't know why it didn't go through, so she offered for me to stop by to just get cash. I couldn't stop by the day I spoke with her so I stopped by today which was 1 week from the order. I walked in and explained to a gentleman what happened, and he said there is no cash here for me and asked for my card. I assumed he would refund it as he didn't apologize for the issue or really seem to care at all. He then said how I shouldn't have waited a week to get my refund, and the lady didn't know how to refund the transaction correctly. I explained how I didn't wait that long and called the same evening I ordered the pizza (just over 1hr after picking it up). Also if the employee was not trained correctly or didn't know how to do the transaction, that is not a customers issue. Luna pizza kitchen lost a customer and future potential customers over a situation that should have and could have easily been...
Read moreThis is a tiny shop with enough room to seat 2-3 groups of guests and is easy to miss tucked next to a larger nail salon.
My family of 4 walked in, they were ready for us to order immediately and were patient while we looked over the menu, then quoted us 15-20 min. I didn't time it, but it might have been faster.
The gentleman that took our order and served us seemed genuine and eager to please and curious how we enjoyed our food in a way I'd expect a shop owner to be (maybe it was).
What makes this place so interesting is that it can be your typical Italian pizzeria, and they would be great as that, with some of the best pizza I've had in Columbus, calzones, pasta, and subs, but they also offer a Greek twist to their food as well. You can get a Gyro pizza, for example.
They have a good balance of meat and vegetables on their items, with multiple vegetarian options, and of course a heavier meat option available anywhere.
A small pizza, two subs, spaghetti, and garlic bread cost us $50.
I try not to dole out too many 5 stars, but this is the kind of mom and pop shop I adore. I will definitely...
