Extended Stay America Suites- Columbus - Tuttle — Hotel in Washington Township

The manager Doreen and her henchwoman (maybe named Tina?) were horribly rude and after charging my card without my permission (which resulted in me paying twice!) They still tried to put me down and treat me like less than a human beind and had the audacity to say I was trying to rip them off somehow (even tho I double paid, twice!) To make matters worse the rooms are horribly cramped and not spacious whatsoever not to mention filthy. The hallways perpetually smell like rancid milk (yuck!) I had to move some of the bulky furniture to accomodate ny luggage which in turn they practically forced entry into my room while my fiance was still getting dressed. Then proceeded to demand i put the furniture back immediately and forget about comfortability my luggage could lay on top of me in the tiny bed area for all they cared. They gave me 30 mins to move the furniture back and it took but 5 mins to move back or they wasnt going to check me in again even tho I had paid a non refundable booking payment through a 3rd party. I had to go to work so I begged them to hurry up and handle the issue and it took them almost an hour to come back up and check making me late to work. The woman then proceeded to scrutinuze everything in my room upon her final inspection to include accusing me of having her fan! It was my fan! Then the next day she wouldnt give us a late check out when it had snowed terribly and my family friend was late picking me up to help me move and proceedrd to call the police who basically thanks ms. Doreen for wasting their time coming out as it was quite obvious i was moving and as quickly as I could. Corporate also is unable to handle any issue involving misconduct at any of their franchised privately owned properties. By far the most outrageously overpriced and horrible guest relations ever experienced anywhere!! Don't give these people your credit card information they will rip you off. They charged us 211.00 for a night that we had already paid for just because we left a day early they wanted to say we we're on a monthly rate. So they wanted to charge us 500.00 also they charged us 85.00 for a cleaning fee when we asked for no cleaning and they pretended to give us our money back. The district manager Brian told us he would wave the fee's since it was an emergency just to turn around and charge my husband's card for Saturday night which was already paid for. We had to pay our bank 31.00 for stop payment because they charged us and we we're paid up until Sunday. When you can't trust the district manager who can you trust?I had to call corporate to have an investigation started in which I have all my paperwork. Money hungry thief that's what Brian is. He messed with the right one because if they don't refund our cleaning fee and stop payment fee I will be filling charges against them because if your already paid up and they take your money that's theft. If you stay there watch them!! And check your credit card do not trust them get everything in writing they'll tell you weekly but they'll put monthly so they can make money off of you. Another thing after we checked in the day after without even telling me they charged my card an additional 20.00 for my pet fee because they claim they didn't charge enough the more I think about it the more I know these people are shady!! We had to stay here last minute when we experienced car troubles. Overall for an emergency it was long bad. But if it weren’t for that- I wouldn’t have stayed here. The lobby smelled awful which was instantly off putting. The room was ungodly hot and stuffy. We turned the air on but it never full cooled down. There were two computer chairs in the room and they were visibly dirty so much so I had to keep my children way from them. There was a tv the didn’t face the bed or the sleeper sofa so it was something the the kids could watch. There was no sheet on the sleeper sofa, no pillows or blankets for the sleeper sofa. We when out and asked for bedding for it but weren’t given any pillows for the kids. The pillows we did have were paper thin and the bed was hard as a rock. Speaking of the bed, it was on some janky bed frame that moved like crazy. That thing is not structurally sound at all. The room had hardly any light and the lamp that was there didn’t work. So even with checking the bed it wasn’t until the next morning that I saw someone else’s shorts black hairs in the sheet. Barf. Finally they had breakfast which consisted of old granola bars, bad muffins, and oat meal. The kids wanted oatmeal but the “hot water” the had in the breakfast area was cool to the touch so that didn’t work. Overall I would never...
