On July 10th my fiancé and two children check into your establishment located in Dublin Ohio for three nights. ||Justin checked us in and was very friendly. ||We were checked in to Room 306. ||Within 10 minutes of us getting things situated and unpacked which included groceries and luggage for three days as our trip was for the Columbia Zoo and water park, my youngest crawled onto one of the beds and I looked at his feet. The soles of his feet weren’t just dirty they were black. I immediately showed my fiancé and I headed to the front desk. ||I asked for a manager, Justin had left for the day and the man at the front desk said he was the acting manager. I informed him of the rooms disgusting floors and he came up to check. He got down on the floor and rubbed the carpet with his hand and it came up black. ||He informed me he would have it cleaned. I requested a different room. He finally with a lot of resistance accommodated me because first it was he would have to clean the room himself and he was the only person working so he had to monitor the front desk or our only other option I was told to seek other accommodations somewhere else. ||We finally were moved to Room 106. Now we had to reload luggage for 4 people and groceries that we just carried up to the 3rd floor to the 1st floor after a long day of travel from Pennsylvania. And once in our room 106 yup you guessed it the floors weren’t as bad but still disgusting and black residue on our feet so we ended up leaving our socks and/or shoes on until bed. ||I went back to the front desk and I was again informed that I could check out and find other accommodations but he would clean it when he had time. Now this wasn’t a $50/night hotel ||We were paying $260/night. Then my 12year old comes to me with a broken piece of glass from what looked like a a beer bottle he said he found at the edge of his bed. Now I also have a 3 year old that could’ve also easily stepped on this and been severely hurt. ||I told the manager “on duty” that this was very disappointing and if I could’ve I would have checked out already. ||We travel as a family a lot and have never had a worse experience than this hotel. ||I could go on about the huge spider in our closet, the hair, dirt and grime left on a hair dryer in the bathroom, the standing green dirt spots or whatever it was throughout the carpet in our second room. (106) but I’d be here for a lot longer than I want to waste anymore of my time on this but felt you all...
Read moreWe came down to attend a Crew game. The ratings and price ultimately attracted us to this property. It seemed like a newer hotel, based on the pictures. We originally booked two nights but my son had an event the morning of arrival, so we cancelled the night before. I cancelled many weeks before we were scheduled to arrive, but the notes in the system were overrided and I was set to check in the night we cancelled. I had to call down and get that figured out but the hold on my card was still for two nights. I didn't care, as long as I was only charged for one night (I was). The hotel is located in a strange location, behind some buildings, that kind of look run down. The parking lot isn't very big either. At first, the hotel seems newer and was a pleasant check-in experience. We got to our room and settled in. Again, the room seemed newer and we lazed around. We went out to dinner before the game. Enjoyed the game and came back to sleep. When we woke up the next morning, that's when we started to notice the true hotel we stayed at. You could start to see the quality of the hotel. You could tell, the refresh they did wasn't done well. The vents in our room were dirty and possibly moldy. The closet door was falling off the tracks. The bathroom wasn't very clean. The cabinets were not in great shape for the kitchenette. We went down to breakfast and were truly disappointed. There were not enough seats and tables for everyone. The food selection was terrible and they were awful about filling everything. Then the real issue treated it's head! We came back after breakfast and my son went down to run on the treadmill. While he was down there my wife and I were getting ready. My daughter was in the living room watching TV. She yelled that someone popped in our room. I jumped up and checked it out. I checked the door was closed all the way and it hadn't latched. So we went back to getting ready and not much time had passed and it happened again! This time, the door was closed all the way. Unfortunately, I couldn't deadbolt or anything, since my son wasn't back yet. Once he came back, we locked the door. The sense of security is enough to avoid this property. At checkout, they didn't acknowledge our stay or even ask how it was. I was given no opportunity to voice my concerns. I would avoid this place like the plague, I don't see any reason why someone would stay here. Columbus is a large city with so many options of hotels. STAY...
Read moreUpdate: 5/2 9:30 at night. People screaming and laughing outside our window . But quiet time isn’t until 10pm. 🤬 I really wish l would have read the reviews before booking. We booked because it was advertised a “remodeled” I think thar was years ago. We unfortunately are still here until Sunday. We used points and too hard to get back as well as it is convenient with our dog.
They put us in a room right by patio. At 9:30 on a Monday night there was a group of guys drinking and obnoxiously loud. We understand people will talk, however they were screaming. I called the front desk and as I am speaking with him, he hung up on me, so, I called back and proceeds to tell me he is on his way to our room. I asked, why? We just asked you tell them to tone it down. We were in pajamas in bed. He then knocks on the door. I have crack the door and he proceeds yo ask what is the prob, I tell him i already told you, he said well “ I dont hear them”. I said that is because it is right outside our bedroom. He then asks “ are you sensitive to noise”. I then slam the door on him. I will say the GM was nice and told me other guests complained and he was terminated.
However, the same guys were at again last night. I call again, and I am now told” quiet time isnt until 10pm”. I said, this isn't normal conversation, they are screaming. Top that with I had to wipe dirt off the wall in the shower. The same potato chip crumbs have been in the hallway for three days. The elevator and entryways are filthy. They do not mop.
The parking lot has a rundown car filled with stuff, flat tires looks like it has been there for months. The grounds have food wrappers, empty cups that no one picks up. Twice I have taken the dog out and there is riff raff getting high in the parking lot.
Happy Hour they provide one type of beer in which you have to ask for, then it is poured in a small plastic cup out of a pitcher.
The only positive, the staff besides the one guy is nice. The breakfast is decent.
But overall dirty . Hotels can be old and still be clean. We are only here because the sale of our house overlapped with our new build...
