Local Bar Short North — Restaurant in Columbus

Do not go to this bar. I’ve (24f) never been treated so terribly! Waiting in line to use the restroom, and a security guard comes up and starts screaming about how only one person can go into the bathrooms at a time. I understood considering a group of 5 guys had just entered the same bathroom not too long ago and he had to tell them to hurry up. Well then it’s my turn. I kid you not, I walked to the toilet, sat down and then the security guard starts pounding on the door screaming at me to hurry up. So I shouted back at him “I literally just sat down.” (He watched me go in 2 seconds ago.) But he proceeds to unlock the bathroom door from the outside WITH ME ON THE TOLIET W MY PANTIES DOWN AND EVERYTHING. He’s yelling at me to hurry up and people are looking at me, some other guy came into the bathroom that had been standing in the line (with me still exposed), so in front of tons of strangers at the bar I had to pull up my jeans and walk past. I’ve never been so humiliated in my life. The worst part is I was completely sober as I had literally just gotten to local (my first bar of the night)and it was my first time ever being there. It wasn’t just me that he was doing this to either. I will never go back, especially since no one who was running the bar seemed to care either. -10/10 did not feel safe...

This was one of my favorite bars in the area. It was. Then, once I had to dispute the drinks on my charge, I was met with incredible hostility. I was not given any reason or understanding. One of the bartenders, who had been loudly saying my last name all night, was the first to call me out for not tipping on a tab I was not reasonably responsible for. I wanted to tip the proper 20% as I do but was trying to do that in the tab I actually paid for.

This can be responded to by the business, but make no mistake: when you are in the wrong, they will only protect themselves. If the excuse is that the bartender that had served me was now off the clock and drunk then you should think twice about trusting any of them. I was only trying to understand why I was charged more than I was, and I was met with hostility, mostly by the bartender that thought he was safe because he was off the clock. Regardless of if people I don't even know erroneously bought drinks on my tab, I was met with the worst and most aggressive staff you could ever come across at a bar that makes more money than I could ever excessively tip.

Disregard any response this gets, nice or not, this is an incredibly harsh reaction from this that have been amazing bartenders to me for the last 6 years.

Fun bar with some of the best drink prices in the Short North. Attracts a very diverse crowd, the digital jukebox keeps people dancing all night, and each time I've visited (about 4 times), the atmosphere has a positive vibe. Patrons are generally friendly, open to conversation, and do not cause trouble from my experience. I only downgraded my rating to 4 stars because they really could use another 2 bathrooms to avoid very long lines when...
