Sunrise Bagels Cafe — Restaurant in Concord

The bagels are ok just a regular bagel nothing over the top. The service was quick and friendly. My family and I ended up at this establishment after an early morning doctor’s appointment. I googled and saw the place offered freshly squeezed orange juice so I was very excited. We ordered and grabbed our drinks. I tasted the orange juice and immediately realized it was in fact NOT fresh orange juice. This made me mad because the owner at the establishment goes above and beyond trying to sell the juice as fresh which he has in a clear plastic cup and sealed with a plastic top using one of those machines the boba shops use for their cups. He also has them inside the fridge with a label underneath saying “squeezed orange juice”. I spoke to the owner and after I told him that it was not fresh orange juice he gave me an attitude and told me he could give me my money back if I didn’t like it to which I agreed. All I wanted was to change it for a different drink but he had an attitude right away. He wasn’t too happy I was calling him out on his scam. I think $4.50 for a glass of Florida’s natural juice is ridiculous. And honestly it’s not even about the money it’s the principle don’t go all out of your way and repackage an item and LIE to people saying it’s fresh orange juice. I'm a native New Yorker, so good bagels are important! It has been hard finding suitable bagels outside of NY state, so I was really excited to find Sunshine Bagels. They are a little shop in a strip mall and they do bagels right! The variety is fantastic and fresh, they refilled the baskets with bagels straight from the oven while I was there. The price is reasonable and the service was pretty quick. They also sell breakfast sandwiches (smelled delicious), pastries, cream cheese tubs (in a variety of flavors), lox, and various drinks and lunch items. The bagels taste amazing and have just the right amount of chewiness. It's a great little shop that will most likely become a regular...

Cons of the owners establishment:

I have had better Nova lox. The flavors were bland lacked freshness This kind of bagel has an acquired strong taste and it was just not met. disappointing unfortunately. Iced Vietnamese coffee… just didn’t hit the spot… but can’t knock its lack of authenticity since it was not a Vietnamese...
