Went for the 1st time with my little sister and little cousin! The moment we walked into the store we were literally amazed at everything we saw. We were mind blown at how we loved every single item and we were only getting started at the entrance of the store. We kept on getting shocked as we progressed throughout the store how we were STILL obsessed with every little thing. Beautiful decor and kitchenware. Unique nicknacks. Even the furniture was stylish. The food section is full of ingredients or snacks from all over the world. (Pillows shaped like tomato’s or beautiful slices of cake, retro furniture, hello kitty items, rare Japanese snacks, beautiful plates and cups, mini toy carts to put REAL mini food in it) They had everything I would look for AND AT A REASONABLE PRICE!!! I’m very used to inflated prices but the prices are really low compared to other stores. This store is perfect. Everything was so organized and fully stocked despite it being few days away from Christmas. You would want to buy every item. Very spacious so it was not crowded even though it was filled with people. Definitely my new favorite store. I would go to this store daily. It’s holiday season so the lines were long but even the lines went by fast due to the cashiers and still looking around while in line....
Read moreCost Plus, is one of my favorite stores to spend hours of time in. Surprisingly it was one of my happy places to visit and just look around.
Now, its really sad, because several store locations are closing, like its Pleasanton location.
Cost Plus represents a retail genre that doesn't really exist as a standard brick & mortar store, the products and types of products are typically found at craft fairs or online. So for stores close by to be shutting down, its disappointing and sad that it couldn't survive, even in the current economy.
Cost Plus, was/is filled with all kinds of cool, off the beaten path, atypical products most of which were of a Fair Trade nature, and for some stores to be shutting down, it makes it that much harder to get these type of products and see them in person.
I found their prices, for the most part to be affordable. They carried a lot of food that were only Fair Trade in other parts of the world. The variety & diversity of the furniture, bath products, apparel, kitchen gadgets were just not found in any other stores, including whole foods.
Frequenting Cost Plus is that much harder, with its Pleasanton store closed. Its Concord store is larger than most locations, but its at least a 25...
Read moreServices from cashiers were always a good experience for us, but not these personnel who play with customers like fools.
I came to the rest room with 2 people in front of me waiting. The first one in front has id and obviously an employee. She stands right next to their employee door (which like an office) but facing the restroom like really waiting in the line. The second one is also obviously a customer like me patiently waiting for her turn. As soon as the door opens, we were expecting her to go first but she let the other customer go in while holding her laugh that i thought was weird, like whats so funny about it? Felt like a disrespect to the older lady she let go in first. So i thought I was just overthinking.
I only knew what was the laugh about when I came next to her (the employee). Some other employee came out from the employee room and there's a guy inside laughing asking the employee to stand right outside the door! then the girl employee who's waiting first in the line came to the employee room laughing with the guy inside!
I always come to this location for a reason, I wont let the second time pass...
