The Olive Branch — Local services in Conewago Township

I've been in the shop a few times. The first time wasn't a great experience. But, I am happy to say that they have improved since that first time. All the products smell amazing and it's great that they are made with natural ingredients. I am highly sensitive to synthetic fragrances and get raging migraines from perfumes and scented lotions. It makes life very difficult as just about everything is scented these days. But at least a place like this exists so I can enjoy scented body care without feeling miserable. One thing I will remark on specifically is the dry shampoo. I have fine hair. I was hoping it would be a way to not wash my hair with water and shampoo every single day. But, alas, it didn't work well that way for my fine hair. However...not all is lost. I found that I can use it as a styling product instead. If I dust it on my freshly washed and dried hair at the roots and brush it, it gives my hair a bit more lift. As someone who can't use traditional styling products (again, fragrances), this is a bonus. I don't know if the Olive branch makes any hairstyling products like hair pomade or wax...but I'd be on board to buy some if they did. Especially if an unscented version...

Today was my first day in The Olive Branch. Immediately, I was greeted by a kind woman named Kathy. She showed me around and explained each product without being overwhelming. I felt like she listened and really took the time to make sure my skin and health concerns were addressed. Kathy genuinely cared about helping me explore their products and finding what best fit my needs. At the end I shared that I am in remission with Triple Negative Breast Cancer and some anxiety I have about the lasting effects of chemo and radiation and the outcome to my health and skin. While checking out she gifted me with a bag full of wonderful skincare products and also a bottle of the elderberry syrup. Along with an inspirational message and information about a support group. I was touched by her kindness and so thankful, that I was brought to tears. I truly left feeling beautiful and confident and eager to begin looking and feeling like myself again. Rachel's products are absolutely to die for! Her "Rachel's Garden" soap smells amazing and I love how it cleans and nourishes my skin without drying it out. I have used it both as a body wash in the shower and a hand soap in the kitchen and it works wonderfully for both. More recently I have tried her "healing balm". I have had a stubborn spot of eczema on my ring finger and have been unable to wear my wedding rings because of it. Nothing had worked previously, until I tried the healing balm. 3 days after using it and my eczema has completely cleared up on my hands, plus the balm smells amazing, like every other product I have used of Rachel's. Rachel is so sweet and I cannot recommend The Olive Branch at Sovereign...
