UPDATED REVIEW: Today I went to KFC on Carlisle in Hanover. Anyone who follows me, Do Not Go Here. Two people said they were the manager when I called to complain that I did not get the proper food in my bag. Very simply I ordered the side lovers special, because the cashier told me it was better than just a bucket and I could get the tenders and bone in, for 26.99. she said the tenders didn't come with any sides so I was told it would cost extra for mac and cheese with the tenders (addtl. $10). I left there with a heavy bag thinking that my bucket of chicken was in there along with some tenders and mac and cheese and mashed potatoes doubled. I even said to her that when I added the extras it seemed to be quite expensive. She charged me $39.19. There was no boned chicken, just a bunch of tenders. When I called them they said I got what I ordered and I tried to explain to her more than once, but she said to come back, waste some more gas and another 20 plus minutes of my time, to get the bone-in chicken for an additional $26.99. There is no way that I will ever go back to this place after 2 years ago you can read my review below and I can see that they not only didn't get better they've gotten worse. I called corporate office they were livid over how she treated me. I even told her she was being rude and told her that the girl at the counter made the mistake not me. The ending is she kept repeating herself so I told her I'll deal with corporate and hung up. I do not recommend KFC in Hanover because of the staff not only being incompetent but being rude, dismissive and trying to get me to pay them more for their mistake.
2 years ago.....The chicken was way too greasy. And they should be very ashamed to call what was in the big bucket, chicken. The wings, if they came from a pigeon would have been bigger. I couldn't tell that's what they were, and the thighs were small also. I love their Cole slaw, tasty and if it has onion, I can't tell and that a great thing. You don't get your money's worth. We used to...
Read moreEvery prisoner on death row is allowed to request one final meal before his or her execution date. The condemned can ask for any spread as long as it doesn't contain alcohol. According to an interesting statistic I recently came across, the most popular request in American prisons has always been food from Kentucky Fried Chicken. If I were about to meet my maker, via electric chair, lethal injection, or firing squad my last request might also be KFC. If it were truly my final meal I wouldn't have to worry about calories, cholesterol, or heart disease; I would want to make sure my last dinner was delicious and denounced by cardiologist worldwide.
Alas, my eating habits are determined by my metabolism. When I eat Kentucky Fried Chicken I must do so sparingly and deal with the consequences. While I don't get to KFC that often anymore, I savor the unhealthy food just like I imagine a death row inmate might.
I do miss Kentucky Fried Chicken's Little Bucket Parfaits. The discontinued Chocolate Crème Parfait was just about the best dessert I've ever had. I have to deduct one star from my overall rating because no meal at KFC is complete without a Parfait. Bring back the...
Read moreRestaurant hours are until 9pm M-W & T-F until 10pm. Well its been a couple of times that I drove by the restaurant and the lights are off in the front of the restaurant, this time I decided to go through the drive thru to see if it was actually Open or Closed. The drive thru panel was off and the speaker was broken with a note to order at the window. When I drove to the window everyone was cleaning at 8:56pm, it looked like everyone was getting ready to close early or leave. The first thing I thought was that they turn the light off so that people will think that they are closed and not drive in.
On another note, I asked for a Famous bowl. When I opened it, the chicken was burned, the bowl was filled less than half way and the mashed potato was very liquid.
It's so sad to say that Customer Service at this place has gone down due to a lot of reasons. Like food is not done correctly, orders are not taken right due to them rushing, and if you go by late after 8pm the food is served burned and incomplete.
