We visited the store 6/17/23 about 2:30; we were the only people in the store The store was neat, the selection was great! Unfortunately, there is nothing positive I can say about the woman behind the counter. She was clearly annoyed when we asked where the long sleeve shirts were and didn’t engage when we tried to converse with her. She looked miserable - which begs the question: if you don’t like people, what are you doing in a retail store in a tourist destination? It was awkward and uncomfortable. We live several hours away and I was purchasing a shirt as a gift. I wasn’t sure about the size. I asked if I could mail it back for exchange with the receipt and a prepaid envelope. She said that would be fine. I called on 6/22 to confirm the exchange and the woman who answered the phone (possibly the same woman?!?!) could not have been ruder. She scoffed, “I’ve been here for years and have never received a piece of mail so I don’t know where you’d mail it.” Long story, but I asked if she would give me the PO Box where they did receive mail. She said she was busy and would call me back. Before I could respond, she hung up. Honestly, I was floored. I only called to confirm the exchange - which had been confirmed to me over the weekend. She was rude and unprofessional, I’ve never written a review before. But this was over the top. I have worked in retail for 39 years. I can’t imagine responding to a...
Read moreI was very disapointed with my trip there this time. I have purchased plenty of their shirts there ranging from $35 to $70 and the last shirt I purchased was $42 , now I live in RI so I travel to the Eastern Slope Inn where my sister has a time share maybe 3 to 4 times a year.so When I got home this time I realized I didnt like the way it fit well when I tried to return it without a receipt but it had the tags on still, in front of everyone in the store the man said to me how do I know you didnt steal this? I was so embarrassed I just wanted anothet shirt I didnt want the money and he said well I will let you do it this time and when I tried to go look for one he said can I see the bag and I said Oh this isn't yours then he started again At this point I said to my sister lets just get out of here and never come back. I picked out a more expensive top and went up to pay at that time he said I didnt have to pay the difference but I said I am paying the difference. I paid and left needless to say He lost a couple of good customers along with all I have told my story too. By the way I am a 64 year old...
Read moreMy friend and I had a very disappointing experience at Noco Loco in North Conway. The older woman running the shop completely ignored us when we walked in—no greeting, no acknowledgment. When we tried to engage and asked if she was having a bad day, her only response was, “I’m closing.” She didn’t bother to let us know the store was about to close, which would have been the polite thing to do. When I asked for scissors to cut a tag, she didn’t even hand them to me while my hand was out. The attitude was unnecessarily rude and unwelcoming. I was planning to purchase sweatshirts and crystals, but after the way we were treated, I walked out with nothing. My friend only bought a sweatshirt because she was cold, but we decided to take our business elsewhere—Zeb’s and Rugged Mill—where the staff was friendly and welcoming. If Noco Loco hired someone pleasant to run the shop, they would definitely make more sales. Based on reviews I’ve since seen, this rude customer service seems to be a pattern. You obviously...
