Shepherds Table has done a complete 360 since Mindy has come back. You can tell she really cares about the well being of the people that come through the doors each & everyday to eat! It has gotten much cleaner, much more organized, much more friendly, more inviting, the hospitality is top tier & more & more people know about it because of word of mouth & from the people telling other people how amazing of a woman that Mindy is & continues to be every single day. You can tell she loves her job, loves what she does everyday & helps everybody as much as she can. Shepherds Table wouldn’t be what it is today without the dedication & LOVE that Mindy brings to it DAILY! With that being said, I’ve noticed more people have been volunteering to help there as well because they feel the love & dedication that has changed within the walls of Shepherds Table. There is also a nice man that works there as well, I can’t remember his name but I think that him & Mindy make an incredible team! I love to go there whenever I’ve run out of groceries for the month or have run out of my monthly budget & I will continue to go there because Mindy makes it so much of a better place! (If you see this Mindy, you are such a caring, loving, giving, selfless woman & I appreciate EVERYTHING you do for our people in the community!)...

Never in my life have I ever seen homeless individuals be treated so bad. It was so horrific that I cried for an hour in my car after I was finished. I’m all about spreading the gospel to make a positive impact just as much as the next person, but it really didn’t sit right with me that they were forced to listen to a biblical teaching before they were allowed to eat. That part seemed extremely cult like. I was also constantly screamed at for just about anything I would do to help even though it was my first day and no one was showing me around. They have one particular worker who degrades the other volunteers and the homeless individuals (which includes screaming at them for asking for seconds). Overall, I’m so disgusted and heartbroken. No person regardless of their situation deserves to be treated like that. We are all humans who deserve the basic needs of life. Definitely will...
