Dollar Tree — Local services in Coos Bay

I went in to buy helium balloons for my sons birthday. 9am on a Wednesday. There were 4 or 5 associates and very few customers. Associates were putting away stock. I roamed the store looking for party supplies. I found an associate at the back corner of the store and asked her where the helium balloons were and she told me. I had made my selections and stood there waiting almost 10 minutes and in full view of a cashier and two other workers. Not one person noticed me or asked if I needed anything. Finally I stepped around and over to the cashier and asked about help getting my balloons. "We don't have any for 3 weeks and don't know when we will get more"...

Wow. Absolute wow.

I'm disappointed that my son will be without balloons for his birthday party, but even more disappointed at the lack of customer service and it would have been very nice to have a post at the front door about not having helium.

Usually when a line is full up a second cashier asks the customers to come to their line. Well in this case I was the person in the back, so when she called I moved to the next line over. However, when I got over, the cashier told me that the woman behind me was next in line. I stated that I was at the back-therefore I should have been next, she denied me. It was very uncomfortable and unnecessary as the line should have moved like this. I have never been at a business where they asked the next one up in the line to go to the other cashier.
