Ulta Beauty — Local services in Corpus Christi

I visited the La Palmera ULTA Friday, I was looking to replace the makeup I have been using for something more natural looking. I have some scarring around my eyebrow and wanted to cover this up without looking like I had a TON of makeup on. I have seen commercials and online ads about Dermablend makeup and had previously bought some back in August at this same location, well back in August when I asked an associate for assistance with that particular cosmetic line the person had no familiarity with the products, so I found something on my own...well coming back to get more last night and I Find myself in the same situation, the associate could show me where they displayed the Dermablend cosmetics but had no expertise on any of the products.

Well as I am asking questions I am rudely disregarded as the associate kept listening to whatever was going on to the other of her darn headset and payed no attention to my inquiries and was hardly interested in anything I had to say or ask. Whatever was going on in that headset of hers was far more interesting than anything I had to say. I easily spend $200-$300 when I am at this store and expect to be acknowledged or at least get a little bit of assistance. I understand sometimes multi-tasking is a quality necessary for this kind of work but at least acknowledge the person right in front of you asking for your assistance.

I was really disappointed with the whole experience and decided just to leave my items on the counter and walk out, they definitely had something else going on and maybe my $200 just wasn’t worth their time.

My suggestion is if you have on a headset prioritize your tasks at hand but NEVER IGNORE...

I got a haircut here a couple weeks ago, I’m not the type of person to leave bad reviews, but the cut honestly made me cry. My hair is one of my favorite features and I felt so ugly, even wearing my hair in a pony you could tell it was uneven and didn’t look good. The manager on duty the next day was super nice and gave me a refund, but my hair was chopped so bad my regular hairdresser back home couldn’t believe what had happened to my hair. I had asked for face framing and light curtain bangs. I went in with long layers already and asked to not lose length in the my hair because I have been growing it out. I tried to trust the process when JJ said she could cut my hair really well I was excited, but then when she was done she told me she gave me a “sexy mullet”. I had also told her I didn’t want to pay extra for the blowout because I was just gonna go home and chill but she still started the blow out before i realized (then I felt too awkward once i realized). She didn’t even give me a mirror and show me my hair once she was done she just said she was done and walked to the register. Again, I’m not the type to leave bad reviews, but in order to fix this I had to get my long hair cut way shorter than I ever wanted it and had to pay for my hair girl back home to do it...

A Girl Named Alyssa Was so rude. I didn’t even want her to check me and my friend out at first because when I complimented her make up, “ I said OMG your makeup is so pretty I love it!” She had looked at me with disgust and walked past me, ignoring me. (I was planning on asking what make up product she used because I wanted some advice on products) And then when we got to the register, my friend doesn’t speak very good English because she is from Ecuador and my friend didn’t understand the question she was asking so she was just Scowling, rolling her eyes, and ignoring my friend and talking to me even though my friend was the one checking out and I was attempting to check out at a different register. terrible customer service as someone who has worked in Retail before that is not how you treat a customer, usually, I am incredibly grateful when I get actually nice customers because I do get a lot of entitled rude people at my job so when I come across Someone that’s genuinely nice. It makes my day. I always go out of my way to treat employees with the utmost respect because I know how it feels. I am absolutely disgusted with her behavior. She needs to get Off her high horse And grow up. This is not high school. You’re a grown adult get...
