Terrible experience. Took my family out to eat, after a month of of mourning the loss of my both parents. I told my wife that we should visit Longhorn figuring we pay more money for exceptional service. Long story short, we ordered our drinks and an appetizer. We got our drinks and ordered our meal and began patiently waiting for our meal. I finished my Moscow mule and water and the waiter never returned to check on us. I attempted to signal him a few times even hollering excuse me sir. I know he saw me once and he ignored me. It wasn't until I asked another worker for a drink that she said let me get your waiter. Waiter returns and asked me if I was going to have the same to which I replied," no sir, I'll have a tall Miller lite and some more water. He returns and brings us our salad. Still didn't receive a water or my beverage. I start eating my salad and I look over to my wife and asked her didn't we ordered an appetizer to which she replied yes. I then signaled the waiter and again I was ignored. I had to speak more loudly to get his attention. He comes to the table irritated and I asked him if he ordered our appetizer because he had already brought our salads out. He raises his voice and says yes and that it was a busy night and it'll be out when it's out. He goes to the back returns with my appetizer, slams the plate in the middle of the table exclaiming here's you appetizer and does the same with my water. Mind you I'm there with my wife and two young daughters. I ask him if there was an issue and he tells me yes because I yelled at him. I told him there was no need to be slamming dishes in front of my family and that I wanted to speak to the manager. I also explained that I had to holler at him to get his attention because the restaurant was noisy and I had a difficult time getting his attention all night. The manager brought our meal out, oblivious of the situation and I informed her because she hadn't been notified. I returned the appetizer because I didn't trust it and my meal because I lost my appetite. She tells me that the appetizer should be fine because they don't do anything like that in the restaurant. I asked her if it was common to slam dishes on the table and she says no. Then I say if that's not a common practice and it's taking place, she needs to understand why I don't trust the appetizer. I told her I would pay for everything with the exception of my meal which I sent back and the appetizer I didn't trust. The manager told us she'd be back with my wife's mushrooms and I ultimately had to remind the manager about the mushrooms. My wife was almost done eating when she received her mushrooms. I left a tip for the new waiter because it wasn't his fault and I did appreciate his efforts. Longhorn has lost us as customers because the poor service and...
Read moreNot the first time with ate at this particular Longhorn Steakhouse, but we have been noticing lately that the attention to details is getting rarer and rarer. In more than one oops are happening in a single visit. Perhaps it has to do with the young staff not trained well and not demanded from them to operate at at least a minimum requirement to attend to public. Not a small task. Here are the mishaps of this visit yesterday. We called for seating, a girl who took our call, she sound she may be 16. Spelled for her the name, and had her read back our phone number. We arrived there, the guy at the restaurant could not find our advanced seating call. I called the number I called from the house, another girl answered but was able to truck the girl who answered us. It turn out that she put down a name not even close to the name we gave, and spelled for her. Instead of Daniel, she put Steven. Go figure! So we had to wait 25 minutes instead perhaps 10 or 15 minutes instead. Then we had the aged steak Delmonico order, and long horn Porter house steak order. Both medium rare. The waitress when she brought the food had no clue which is which of the steaks. Amazingly enough a waitress could not differentiate between the steaks she is serving to client. We figure it from the pics on the LongHorn web site. Then one of the steak was medium rare, and then the another was completely rare. Half way through the meal I felt something thready in my throat, when I inspected the bite I was chewing on I pulled a long black hair, that most likely belong to our waitress who had a beautiful long black hair, uncovered pulled to the front on her chest. when you look at the girls working, none of them have their hair done to minimize the likelihood of having their hair fall in...
Read moreSo I ordered to go food twice from here and it was so good I asked for my broccoli extra steamed and it was perfect but then I decide to go sit down for lunch inside the restaurant my server was nice but as I sat at the table a roach came on the table I asked to be moved and they seemed very concerned about the roach they said they just had bug day I wasn't mad and they gave me a coupon for a free appetizer then the manager asked if she could go and get me some bread and she took my order where I again asked for extra steamed broccoli so when I get my bread I'm dipping it in the butter and then I see water start to push up from under the butter I was staring at my server for a pretty long time but he was having a great conversation with some guys at the bar I'm a server I already walked in the restaurant planning on leaving someone $30 but unfortunately he barely came to my table I don't like to be prejudged and I shouldn't have to tell someone I'm a server just for them to pay attention to me so I had to get the manager about the water in the butter cup and she says oh there must have been water in the cup I'll get you a dry one I was aggravated about that because I work at a restaurant and I know that if there's water in the cup it's from the dishwasher so then I get my food the broccoli was not steamed at all very hard I didn't eat it and I really wanted it but I didn't want to complain again what really upset me the most was that the manager didn't seem to care about the water being...
