I purchased 7 pairs of earrings from this location, and of the 7 pairs, 5 were bundled as a deal — 5 for $12. However, I noticed that the last two pairs reflected a US price of $14.99 on the back but rang up as $17.99 (19.82 w/ TAX) at the register. I went back to the location to get a refund for the difference and I was met with some issue from the woman working. She matter-of-factly stated that there would be a difference in price on the receipt compared to the back of the product. I assume the difference she was referring to was the included tax in the itemized price. Yet, despite this fact, I was still overcharged.
I was floored by her reluctance to understand that the price inconsistency was not a good look. Often times when there is a mismatch between prices, stores will honor the price that the customer sees, given that it is not the customer’s responsibility to make sure the pricing is correct. So given her demeanor, I opted to return everything and get a refund. She stated there would be no refunds for the earrings but she would ring up the two pairs again with the price reflected on the back. The new receipt now reflects the correct amount of $14.99 (16.53 w/ TAX), and I received back the amount that I was overcharged for ($6.58).
I will not be returning to this location, and will be hesitant to give my business to the company in the future. And it is such a bummer because I really love the earrings at Lovisa. I have always had good experiences at the Buffalo and Toronto locations, so this experience definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. And while the employee did re-ring up the two pairs, it is a bit odd that they were not concerned by this mismatch, which is not a sign of good (or honest) business to me.
Word of caution, make sure you check that the price on the back of the product is the same amount reflected on the POS plus tax. They will gladly overcharge you and act indifferent when you contest it.

Read moreThe girl working there was so rude and irrational. I wanted to get my ear pierced and asked if I could remove the earring from the plastic demo board just so that I could put it up next to my ear and see if I liked it, she very rudely said no and that she didn’t understand why I would need to do that. Ummmm obviously because I’m about to make a hole in my ear and I want to be sure of it. I’ve gotten multiple piercings there and have bought countless earrings, but I won’t...
Read moreWent to the Culver City store on xmas eve and bought my daughter a necklace. Expected it to get rusty and/or break sooner than later but what I didn't expect was for it to break the day it was bought. Pieces just started falling off. We had to use some tools to put it back together. I realize it's not a fancy store but it should last more than a day!...
