In July of 2023, I had LifeProof carpet installed through this store. They only use Certified Flooring Installers CFI, out of Cleveland. To make a long story short, the seams are all "peaked" and one seam going across the middle of my living room is especially noticeable. I made note of it when I signed off on the installation. After three additional visits by CFI, there was no resolution. According to an HD manager, it's in the specs for the carpet. Having had carpet laid in several previous homes, I've never had this problem, be it with pile or berber carpet. Yes, the person doing the measurements goes over where the seams will be and work best. The only time I've ever had an issue with a seam, the installer was able to redo it with excellent results. I ordered from HD and was stuck with their installers. I expected HD to make it right. Home Depot will not. I have had trouble making my photos the right size to turn in a BBB complaint.
Update: Customer care had the local store manager reach out to me to see if there were new issues. Then customer care respectfully declined to compensate for the complete cost of three rooms and a hallway. I only asked for the living dining area, which is where I have to look at the unsightly seam every day. Non-English speaking CFI installers advised that the seam wont be invisible in certain lighting situations. Huh? No one's looking after midnight. What a total crock. Any offer of compensation toward a better installation of new carpet from a reputable store would have been appreciated.
Update: March 18, 2025. Now this carpet installed in July 2023, is actually coming away from its backing along the seam that I tried to have repaired or carpet replacement compensation for the whole first year. The store COS was going to contact the vendor, but I’ve waited two months...
Read moreI really like going to home depot I know one of the biggest things that's hard to get help these days but they really try to help you out I have a small company and it small company and it's hard to find help at all but these ladies and men really work hard to do everything they can to help you find what you need and are always courteous and they don't know they'll call other people they have a hard job because working with the public is a really hard job and I know they put up with some things they shouldn't But the way they handle it at 2nd and on especially the return desk that's gotta be the hardest part of the whole store the best people coming with receipts You know that they didn't buy it but they're bringing it back and trying to get money so I really don't know how they put up with it with it but they still respect everybody backed everybody and I've seen some crazy stuff I've seen people walk right from the shelf to right to the desk to try to return it and they really try hard to explain so I can know you have to show an ID and you know we can't give you cash back and then a lot of times they don't realize that they try to sell those stupid coupons you know that they got the back but you have to show a driver's license to make sure that the right person is getting that so for all the thieves out there Please stay away from home depot because those ladies work so hard and then when they sell a car to somebody and they can't use it because it doesn't match up to their driver's license it just makes it hard on all the people that work there and they do not deserve it cause they treat everybody was respected and they really try hard with the short staff that they have I could...
Read morePpl were amazing! My health reasons for not wearing a mask make me feel embarrassed- but the employees here did not!!! They asked no personal questions- which I would've answered- but was so grateful to not as others would've heard and more than violated my privacy. They were helpful in finding product, getting products, at check out, and even just when leaving! And not one person made me feel less than, as I feel many places, even though wearing a mask could literally kill me- (I actually left medical school for this reason recently, but before pandemic) so their kindness made me and my 18 yr old daughter (who did wear Mask) cry! My 2yr old had no idea what was going on- buyout my 18 yr old actually has been given a health card to not as well & b/c of the HATE and JUDGEMENT we receive- she wears it & puts it under her nose when she can. It's very scary to me- b/c I KNOW the danger she puts herself in to make others feel at ease....yet she struggled every night she goes anywhere 😢. Please stop saying "it's just a mask" I can go back & forth w/you on the truth of that every day! But even if it DID make a difference etc- there are some who CANNOT wear it- and it is settled to be terror right to not explain why.
