I came here on Sunday March 3rd, 2025 and it seemed Holy Ghost filled, even though it was very loud. The pastor's msg was ' it's go time'.. great message. However when I went afterwards to the visitor greeting room, we were greeted nicely by the pastor and 1st Lady. but one associate pastor argued with me when I asked some questions since I was looking for a church home & wanted to make sure it was a good fit….and also because I speak only when God tells me to speak to the ministers. After the initial address to all of us, a male & female minister came over to me. I first asked them why they’d use the name ‘Easter.’ I asked them are they not aware that that is the name of a goddess? The associate minister said yes but they also used the term Resurrection Sunday. I asked them how would they feel if their husband or wife had their exe’s name all over your house. Just as that is offensive, so is having the name of a goddess on a building dedicated to God.. being that He said ‘thou shall have no other gods before me.’ They seemed to understand. I also spoke of it being loud and they understood. I then spoke of my work as a pro singer..that I do Gospel, worship music & also positive music at weddings, bar & grills, jazz clubs ETC. The male minister began to judge me ..asked me why would I sing in clubs. I AGAIN told him I do positive music…that if it's OK to say ‘I love you’ it's OK to sing ‘I love you’. He continued to interrupt me.. and just repeating ‘but it's a club’. I tried to tell him there are positive clubs.. you can't just group, but he wasn't hearing..just kept interrupting me. I finally was able to get the last out because his wife WAS agreeing that he was interrupting. So I left them with the poem which I added to this post. I felt like 'wow, I’m a spiritually MATURE Christian…what if I had been a baby Christian or NOT one? WAS interested in this church and they're trying to judge me, really?' The scripture Isaiah 54: 17 says about God’s children ‘every tongue that rises against me in judgment God shall condemn?’ My feelings are that YOUR PASTOR & WIFE, the building & ushers are like a beautiful wedding cake…but this experience and that 1 minister’s attitude is like flies & maggots on that wedding cake....

From growing in ministry as a young adult to now being married with children, I’ve been blessed to raise my family under the incredible spiritual covering of Bishop Lyle and Pastor Deborah Dukes.
They are a powerful, passionate, and purpose-driven husband and wife team who lead with excellence, vision, and a genuine love for people. Their dynamic leadership has shaped my walk with Christ and continues to inspire us all to live with purpose.
What makes this journey even more special is that my wife and kids love the church just as much as I do — and they’re not just attending, they’re actively growing and serving in ministry too. As a family, we are thriving in a place where faith, love, and purpose come together.
Harvest Life is more than a church — it’s our home. If you’re looking for a place to grow spiritually, serve faithfully, and raise a strong family rooted in faith, this is it!

Read moreInitially, I thought it would be love coming to this house of worship. The security/ parking assistants were kind, attentive, and thorough. But once I got out of my car and entered the building, it drastically went downhill. Hello!!??!! Has no one here heard of the Delta Variant!!??! While some persons were a mask, there were numerous persons who did not. Most unsettling. Then there was too much movement that it made it difficult to pay attention to the service. One member of the video crew kept moving back and forth, worse she had to avoid people - including a child laying randomly in the aisle. I would propose that if such is necessary, then some of the sanctuary chairs should be removed to increase the space for such work. Then at dismissal, there was no order or structure to get persons out it was just a free for all toward the door. So essentially no 6 foot spacing at all. All that I saw made me glad for my double masking and my readily available sanitizer. Ugh. It is unlikely I will go again during this time in our nation's health crisis. Afterward, maybe, as the service was adequate. But now, very, ...
