1890 Marketplace Dallas — Local services in Dallas

I was perusing the boutiques of Deep Ellum & was elated to come upon this find. I travel extensively and bring my spices (and looseleaf teas) w/ me purchased from shops like this. When I stumbled upon it, my elation turned into shock & offense, as the Latina cashier was some HELLA rude. I mean, even my lowkey friend who lives here was taken aback by her lack of professionalism, lack of assistance offered, and her abrupt departure to chat w/ others. When I was telling her (the salesclerk) how geeked I was to have found this spot, she retorted "YOU buy spices??" or something to that effect. Ma'am, I am 42 yrs old and 4 yrs away from retiring thanks to my personal business endeavors. IDK what in the heck made her think her disdain was appropriate to have, much less blatently express. I have NEVER exited a spice store without a crapload of new spices in purchases (I'm lowkey addicted to spices, teas, and candles) but I couldn't even experience what the store might've had to offer b/c her affect, energy, and curt tone was so alarming and disrespectful, like a 9 outta 10-- that bad.

I've been here two times and Nick has been a great help sharing information and ways to use all the wonderful vinegars, oils and spices in this store. They have excellent quality vinegars and oils. It's well organized and clean. It's wonderful they have taste testers so you know what you're buying! Everything I have tasted is absolutely delicious, and as a cook and baker, my mind goes wild in this store and all the possible flavors!!
