Revolver Taco Lounge TO GO — Restaurant in Dallas

Great Food Buy too much for one Taco! Went yesterday my plain taco that’s how I ordered it it actually for first time it came out great & took me off guard!!! Yet what I don’t like yet it’s ok it’s DFW area yet everyone assumes probably because it’s Deep Ellum you rarely get any customers Yet let alone any employees who speak can also and understand Español Spanish bilingual So I get it not upset. Let alone the employee there a male waiter know that I know since we are both Latin well Iam half. Anyhow what I didn’t like is that my friend we where there and serve was really quick & fast yet in and out one order of taco to try. Yet what I didn’t like for parking is very bad for business outside of revolver taco. My friend got a ticket from parking ticket troll really fast which wasn’t fair that is very very bad business for any business on Main st in Deep Ellum. Who pays & tips better individuals who owns a vehicle actually can drive to Deep Ellum in general and spend money Vs individuals using Lyft Uber & etc. Something that all the owners on especially main st & Deep Ellum In General should complain to city of Dallas about the parking & there customers at the moment should not get a parking ticket period that area is confusing in general for parking no tickets should be issued especially causing 45.00 is out rages and ridiculous SMH of course my friend is gonna argue & fight this ticket?! How does city of Dallas in Deep Ellum expect the business owners on Main Street in deep Ellum to make money off from paying & tipping customers If they have a ticket troll waiting watching in the corners to issue a tickets to paying & tipping customers on their vehicle & are visiting Main st on Deep Ellum?! Smh!!! Not happy!! You can visit this place yet beware of the parking in that area bad for business owners in that area! Business or owners on main street need to complain Keep complaining to the city that they need to not be giving their customers tickets whoever parked outside of deep Ellum...

I cannot for the life of me figure out why this place has good reviews. Had we seen the honest reviews we would have skipped coming here. I really never leave reviews but this was one that needed to happen. Maybe it’s because I’m from Oak Cliff and know what good tacos are supposed to taste like.?. They should rename this place hipster taco…motto, no authenticity here.

Let me start with, the price is insane for the quality, quantity and lack of flavor. You could break a tooth on the super thick hard chips, that were not warm and a small portion at that. I mean we paid 8 for salsa and chips another 10 for guacamole. The chips were hard and old. The salsa was not good. Maybe they put liquid smoke in it instead actually roasting the vegetables? There were 8 of us and no one ate it. The guacamole was ok. The pork carnitas lacked any flavor and I’m pretty sure someone baked a pork loin and cut it up, it was tender but needed so much salt…. Where was the flavor? The lingua was one solid bland THIN slice. I’ve never seen it served that way. Weird! The carne asada was just ok, at best. The hot sauce was weird and watered down. We didn’t use it. The bathroom smelled like sewage. The waiter in the middle of taking our order stopped and turned to talk to someone for a good few minutes before finishing with us….. maybe the other person...

Worse $53 spent on food The To Go cashier was nice! But to go packaging was terrible. They need to get the engineering right and consider using styrofoam instead of plastic. Too much condensation Made the Corn Tortillas on the taco come apart. Maybe I should've asked for them well done. I usually don't have to. The Tripa taco meat cut didn't look like tripa. The menudo didn't have any hominy and tripa tripe cut tasted kinda gamey and chewy. The Carnitas taco was meh in flavor. I've had better carnitas from El Rancho Grocery store down the road. My girl friend was disappointed with the tripe in the tacos too. The Birria taco was $10 and but wasn't bad. LOL $13 with the consommé broth. I liked the garbanzo beans in the consommé. And chiliques weren't terrible. But because of quality in my girlfriend items. I didn't enjoy my food. I'm already in Distraught mood because I have to order takeout tomorrow refrigerator comes in. Incouldn't enjoy my food. There's better taquerias in Deep Ellum that open during night time and across from Reno's or Vinity Club. Disappointed to a degree where I wanna do a charge back on my card.
