Tonight I had an experience I never expected to see. I went to the Cinepolis in La Costa (San Diego). My cousin and I took our kids to see INSIDE OUT 2. Her 10 year old is going through some things and we thought this movie might help inspire her a bit to work through some tough feelings. My cousin has been going here for years along with her friends and they ALWAYS bring food in as tix are crazy expensive. She set her daughter’s food out, bowl of fruit, chicken bites and a milk. One of the waiters said they are coming down on people bringing in food and that she would have to go outside to eat it. The movie was starting so she tried to get her to eat quickly. BTW, there was no sign we could see about outside food and no one checked for tickets or our purses. We just walked into our seats holding the food bag. Anyway 2 min later this guy coms up, aggressively tells us no outside food, and tells us to go outside. We plead with him, her daughter starts crying saying she is hungry and HE TAKES HER FOOD, puts it in the bag and TAKES IT AWAY. The movie has started, she is crying and hungry. She hadn’t been eating so it was a big deal she was finally eating in the theater and he takes it away, setting her anxiety on fire. What has happened to customer service? This manager, knowing she regularly brought food in with no problem should have informed her that they are cracking down on that, asked her to not do it again and left her with a warning. She was shocked, stunned and none of us could believe he packed up a small, hungry, sobbing 10 year olds meal and got rid of it. He’s young. He will have kids someday and hopefully look back with shame. He needs better management training. Shame on...

I would give 10 stars if possible! From the moment we entered the building our experience was exceptional! My wife and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary this past weekend and decided to catch a movie at Cinepolis. We are normally Movie Tavern people but after visiting Cinepolis we have found a new favorite. There is not one negative thing we could say about our visit, at all. The staff was amazing and made us feel like celebrities, our waiter was friendly and prompt, the seats were so comfortable, the food was my goodness...the food was good, the pricing was reasonable and the screen was very nice. We will DEFINITELY be back soon to watch our next movie. If you get the chance to visit this...

Cinepolis awards program is a waste of your time. Why see a movie there.At Regal and AMC you get a member card that will give you credit when you buy tickets through Fandango not so with Cinepolis .If you have a complaint with Cinepolis there is no way to complain.They do not answer e mails and every voice message box is full.In NYC with so many theaters why go...
