I stopped in the store on Preston near Alexis.. I was in the area visiting friends. I received a call from my senior citizen neighbor, who wanted an apple cookie from a place called âcrumbiesâ, she is 89, so, I knew that she meant Crumbl. This was my first visit and soon discovered from the cashier that this week, the apple cookie was not available. I called my neighbor and she made the choice for gingerbread cookie. There was another worker mopping, I suppose for closing preparation, because it was after 9pm. The next thing, I knew the person that was mopping with gloves on was advised to make the cookie . At this point, I didnât know that she was making the same cookie that I ordered for my neighbor. She didnât change her gloves and she used the same gloves that were handling the mop handle to place gingerbread sprinkles on the cookies. I was really shocked, but I wasnât going to cause a scene for $3.98.. instead, I wanted it to be known that this store âs employees need to be mindful of practices of food hygiene. I wondered why the cashier would instruct the employee who was mopping to make the cookie..I threw the cookie away.. and bought a chocolate cake at Jack in the Box .. which was my neighborâs second option. I will be a bit leary to visit this store again. This store is a new opening and cleanliness practices shouldnât be a concern. This, I believe is troubling.
I received a response to my concern on 12/8/21 from the owner. I really believe that my concern was acknowledged and a genuine effort was made to improve. I returned at the ownerâs request to get a free cookie to replace the one that I threw away. My experience this time was exemplary! I was able to get the orange cookie. My neighbor enjoyed it and was over the...
Read moreThe cookies have very little taste. The peanut butter blossom smelled like peanut butter, but didn't taste like anything. The chocolate ganache was decent, but once it was gone i the the rest away. The lemon poppy seed cookie part had no taste, so I just ate the center with the filling and threw away the rest. I ordered in store, and wanted to try the French Silk, but they told me it wasn't good and to try something else.
I thought they had ice cream, but I didn't see any signs in the store and I don't think it was on the menu. I wanted to ask about it and totally forgot because I didn't see it anywhere.
Finally, and least important, they got my order wrong, so when I went up to see if the order they called was mine, I thought it was for someone else, so I said "Oh, that's not mine, sorry" and went to stand in the back again. Several minutes later when everyone who ordered after me had gotten theirs already and there were no other customers left waiting, I went back to the counter and the employee said "I called yours out already." I told them what they showed me was not what I ordered, and they fixed it and sent me on my way. I was a little frustrated because they could have said something the first time I went up to check, or checked themselves against the ticket. There were only 2 other customers at that time, so they knew it was supposed to be mine because when I went up to the counter again they knew the name I had on the order.
The main issue is that the cookies had no taste. Not worth the price, and definitely not worth the carbs. Tiff's Treats down the street is much better because even though a lot of their cookies taste the same, they do taste like something and are consistent. These cookies...
Read more1st timer here. I learned of this company via ig influencers. I didn't realize how expensive they are. 5 PER cookie ... for O N E cookie ... is too rich for my pocket book. With that said I treated myself this one time. I didn't go on a day that had the cookies I really wanted to try but I proceeded anyway. Cake batter was pretty good but the raspberry lemonade was too sweet. Way too much frosting if it's gonna be that sweet. I would like to make a suggestion if the owner should stumble upon my review. Why not offer 1) smaller cookie at a 2 for 5 price so those that don't want a humongous cookie can enjoy a smaller one and not have to half it with someone 2) for those cookies that are frosted ...offer a version with a thinner layer of frosting or a drizzle like you see on a toaster strudel for maybe 50 cent less or something and use the regular item name ... and for those that like the thick layers of frosting you could charge the current price and call it something like raspberry lemonade delite or raspberry lemonade supreme. I don't know lol I'm sure you have marketing interns or somebody for that type of thing. I just feel like you'd make even more money by expanding your customer base to those that aren't into eating as much and don't like as much sugary frosting cause wow geez and sheesh lol my face immediately...
