UPDATE: We took the hour drive to the rink to get our refund (as recommended via the Omni staff). Once arrived the individual working stating they won’t process refunds, but write an email and “maybe” management will process it.
Customers pay for a service: ICE SKATING Rink is closed due to weather (That’s fine) Refund maybe happens, even if service is not provided. This is a money sham and Omni’s name is attached to it, no matter how many times they discuss “this being a third party”.
They should be ashamed of their business practices and horrible services provided on their property, not to mention the first individual we spoke to at the Omni clearly needed customer service training.
The only resolution provided: “dispute the charge”
Original Post:
When they close due to weather, the instruction from purchase and FAQ states we will receive an email for refund or rebook - still have not received said email… when you go to the Omni they recommend “showing up the next day, due to how disorganized it is”…
Sounds like Omni management needs to rethink this investment as it is destroying their brand representation.
Even their regular full year employees are bothered by the inconvenience this causes due to lack of...
Read moreI purchased tickets in advance to secure spots for my group, but the experience was very disappointing. After waiting in line for 30 minutes, we reached the front only to be told they didn’t have skate sizes for half of our group. Meanwhile, the line for walk-up ticket purchases customers received their skates at the same time as those of us who pre-booked.
When I asked about the situation, I was simply told to email for a refund—after already paying for parking at the Omni which was non-refundable. The entire process felt disorganized, and it was clear the management was unprepared for the crowd.
Purchasing tickets in advance seemed pointless since they didn’t manage time slots or honor the reservation system. What could have been a fun outing ended up being a waste of time and money. Fingers crossed the refund process goes smoothly, as promised.
Update: It’s been 4.5 weeks, I’ve sent multiple emails and still...
Read moreIt was pretty bad and disappointing, especiallyif you've ice skated before and are taking your kids for their 1st time on the ice. The rink is the size of a high-school gym but smaller. It is horribly unkempt and I'd extend that assessment to unsafe. The ice is not leveled, puddles sit in the holes where the ice is worn down. It's so lumpy it's worse than skateboarding through gravel. It was dirty. Leaves were everywhere. There was also no atmosphere. It was very poorly executed to sum it up. Great idea but they should go back to the drawing board as far as curb appeal, safety and execution go. We spent about $90 for an hour but left in about 20 minutes bc the ice was really botched and hazardous. Think winter snowstorm - frozen sidewalks and uneven patches bc sprinklers may or may not be running type ice. Go to the Galleria. Got to the Parks. Go to Plaza of America. Just don't go here until they...
