Iāve never been inside this place. I did some research and found this place a few years back. I have some Yoruba roots and have been studying the culture and have been wanting to come here. Every time I have tried to make contact (by calling the number on the door of the building) I don't get met with anything. Meaning I get forwarded or I donāt get anybody at all. I have called a few times last year and once this year. One time when a male answered the phone I expressed my concern and asked if I had to make an appointment. The man said yes so I made one. He never showed because he canceled last minute. A time before that, I came about 40 minutes before it was due to close (at 3:20pm) on a Wednesday. The door was locked so I knocked. A lady answered the door and stated that they were closed. With these two events I was so confused. This was only two experiences I've had. I am just an innocent person trying to remember who she is and experience everything Yoruba. Thatās all. I donāt mean any harm but whatās the point of having a Yoruba multicultural center?
