This review is very genuine. Nothing stated is malicious or exaggerated. Everything is factual just trying to save My fellow citizen the headache before you take the infamous golf-cart ride to rental doom. The experience at this property has been by far the worst of all my years of renting. I will start by saying We signed a year lease and for 6 months of my lease My Family was harshly treated & accused of leaving a bad review of the apartment complex. The problem was we had never left a review till now that is. You see come to find out the Property Manager assumed It was us for whatever reason.....but It was indeed apparently another tenants review Who had moved out. We eventually did get an apology but tensions remain the same. So now I will be leaving My review so there's no confusion. If you want the knockoff version of Birkdale Village, you have found the place. Nothing was finished and none of the amenities except the small weight room was offered to us when we moved in. Although it was expressed to us before move-in, these things would be finished. The electricity constantly going out because of construction. Thanksgiving, 4th of July, & Christmas Eve to be exact. The thin walls hearing every dog bark & person taking a shower... The low water pressure in Toilets & Shower. Every building & garage was designed wrong constant mud & flooding when it rains. What's the point of living next to two car washes if you're just going to get your car dirty driving back home. This would call for construction workers to be drilling at all hours of the night.... A trash service that nobody ever even wanted to participate in to begin with. (Fined if it doesn't fit in small Bin) Then to spice things up somebody hit my vehicle In the parking lot and I had no way of telling because the gate after finally being put up works only 40% of the time. I am not the only one who has had their vehicle hit in the Neighborhood either So good luck with that. Yet this is not the only reason for my bad review, a car is A material object. The Property Manager handling these matters lacks any empathy, respect & communication skills when she is actually on the property. Several tenants didn't renew their lease throughout the year of us living there, including us. The one positive thing most of the neighbors were kind. There was only a few buildings fully occupied once we moved. I assume It takes a toll on you when you constantly are getting random notices on your door for decorations or walking up steps to loudly etc. Random inspections they do if your home or not make you question why you're paying so much rent. Unless you're Looking for that college dorm experience of course... I am happy this experience is behind me. I still speak to a few tenants that live there prior and they are also happy that experience is behind them. My family and I are currently fortunate enough to be living in a house. I spoke to a current tenant living their and she expressed to Me they raised her rent & well more than Mine was then & currently. Every once in a while I'll have flashbacks of the waste of time moving & money wasted. The mental stress endured at the Revere definitely will make you realize what's important in...
Read moreBe warned that this is an active construction site. I lived here for a year and the entire time I lived there we had no pool, no BBQ area, outdoor seating, fireplace, no gated community or other listed amenities. The clubhouse was completed right around Christmas, but I had already been living there 3-4 months. The parking lot was paved while apartments were full and shook the entire building. Clearly comfort of the residents was not the first priority. Trash services weren't available in the beginning and there were just dumpsters in the middle of parking lots.
In general the apartment was an entirely unpleasant experience. I paid extra for a bottom floor apartment so I could have plants in the mulched areas but instead received aggressive notices stating nothing could be extended off the cement patio. Fine, I bought a metal rack to put plants on. Then more notices.. rack and all items on it must be removed by x date, no table allowed by front door (to place groceries on while unlocking with full hands), no bags of soil for planting, no plants in breezeway. Mind you many other neighborhoods were doing the same things and no residents were complaining about my patio or plants. Being on the first floor just made it more visible as they walked by and showed the new construction units to future residents. As other reviews state it's a situation of just trying to generate money by filling apartments instead of treating your curent tenants well.
The unit itself was a disaster as well. Thin walls and ceilings meant I heard every step, every bit of music, every load of laundry.. it was so bad that I could hear the upstairs neighbor slide the hangers in her closet. The doors have no soft close feature so they slam if you don't take care to close them quietly. It felt like living in a cheap hotel.. doors slamming and people thundering up and down the steps. The paint was borderline primer and had overspray on the cabinets and appliances. There is no hand towel holder in the bathroom, and no lid (just seat) on the toilet. The racks in the pantry are thin and bent with the weight of home canned goods and Mason jars. The vent above the stove doesn't work at all. The tile they chose has natural brown coloring so my bathroom always looked dirty. The sinks are very shallow and the faucet had terrible water pressure. It took ages to fill up a stock pot.
Move out experience.. they bill for the entire month, and they are willing to help you out at all. There's fees and costs associated with every step of the process and I ended up having to pay for nearly 3 weeks of not living there in addition to a $308 fee. When I finally received by deposit refund they'd charged me for cleaning that I had already done (they'll give you a long list of things to clean or you'll be charged extra) which took half a dozen phone...
Read moreI moved into my apartment at Revere at Sherrills Ford in October, 2024. I have been here for a month and couldn't be happier. I have a version of the 2 bedroom apartment. It is very spacious. In fact, it was one of a few apartments that had enough family room wall space to accommodate my entertainment center with a 65" tv and surround sound system. Even more difficult is to find a long enough wall to put my sofa, end tables and back channel speakers. Every room is spacious. Compare the square footage to the competition.
The kitchen is beautiful with the granite countertop. It is very open with unobstructed views into the family room and dining room.
Perhaps the most important reason for you to choose these apartments is the employees who work here. The maintenance staff here is absolutely incredible. The speed with which they repaired the small problems I had upon moving in was mind blowing. I think everything was taken care of within 24 hours of my making the office aware of the issues. And the ladies who work in the office are very friendly and helpful and address whatever issue you may bring to their attention immediately.
The complex is relatively new. I believe it opened in August, 2021. It is very well taken care of and looks great. The neighbors have all been friendly and this is NOT a party environment with loud weekend noise and intoxicated people.
Is this a perfect place? Almost, but the negatives are very small. A garage was very important to me, and unfortunately none were available when I moved in. I am on a waiting list, so we will see how long that takes. My only other small negative is that many of the kitchen cabinets and drawers are narrow, which creates problems for the storage of wide items. And those narrow spaces are deep, which causes a problem when you want to pull something out of the back.
I will update my post as...
