After buying a suit at another Men’s Warehouse location out of town, because this location did not have the size we needed and would not offer to order us the size we needed, we returned to get the suit tailored here, so that we could pick it up locally instead of making a second trip to Orlando. Upon walking in, all the salesmen looked at us but no one offered to assist us. We had to follow someone around and basically beg for help. Told the salesman that we finally tracked down, that we needed the suit tailored and he told my boyfriend to go put the suit on. He then began helping other customers. He later returned and asked if we wanted the suit tailored here, I said yes, that is what we just asked for. He then proceeds to tell me their tailor is not in the store today and also not available for over a month to make any alterations. Wish he would have told us that when we first asked for alterations and before having him try the whole suit on. He then proceeds to tell us that he will take measurements and send us to another tailor somewhere else. We wait another 10 minutes while the salesman helps other customers and stands behind the front desk looking around at nothing. He finally comes back over to us and takes no measurements, offers no real advice about the fit of the suit or what needs to be done to it. Another sales associate chimed in and mentions that the tailor may be able to fit us in next week, so it sounded like they would be able to help us after all. But the salesman disappeared again and left us standing there, so I told my boyfriend to just go change back out of the suit, as it seems nothing was being done and we were just standing there for quite a while unsure of what we were supposed to be doing or if the salesman was going to return. The salesman later comes back and tells me they can’t help us and that he doesn’t know of any other tailors in town to send us to. So we drove 30 minutes to this location, sat for over 45 minutes in the store, and tried the suit on, for absolutely no reason. We couldn’t get clear answers or help and should have been told from the second we walked in that they could not help us instead of wasting our time standing there for nothing and being offered basically no help and confusing direction. Please train your employees better. Although with the amount of other bad reviews I’ve read regarding the same exact issues, it sounds like this store won’t make it in business much longer sadly. I know we...
Read moreLet me first say, if you need a suit or nice dress clothes, go to Daytona Tuxedo.
Now, for why I will not be shopping at Men's Wearhouse again.
I spent $4,000 on suits, shirts, pants, pocket squares, cufflinks, ties, shoes AND belts for me and my 7 groomsmen.
On MULTIPLE occasions, I said my brother is gigantic (6'7'' 250 lbs of solid muscle) and for them to keep that in mind as we discuss what we're going to wear for the wedding. The lady told me MY shirt was a slim fit shirt and never once though to mention that the shirt style we picked out wouldn't fit on my brother (and other groomsmen who are bigger).
So, we buy all of this, try it on only to find out that the shirts are ALL slim style, they don't have a regular style for that design and that it doesn't fit 2 of my groomsmen. Men's Wearhouse proceeded to suggest a white shirt in place (which wasn't even the color of the rest of the shirts) and refused to give a refund on the shirts so that we could go purchase something similar. You'd think a $4k purchase would earn you some benefit as a customer -- well, the joke is on you.
On top of this, I had to follow-up with them 4 or 5 times afterwards because they kept getting our order wrong, sending the out of state orders to the wrong stores and missing items from the order (I get that it's a big order but just a little focus and QA work would go a long way here).
In comes Daytona Tuxedo... While we search for a place that has shirts, that fit, in the same color palette Daytona Tuxedo sold us perfectly matching shirts (minus barely noticeable pin strips) and gave us all 7 of them (for my groomsmen for an outrageously low price).
I can tell you, I will not be back to Men's Wearhouse. You can tell their salespeople are commission based -- they're more concerned with selling than they are thinking through what...
Read moreWent into the store for alterations on a suit jacket and pants. I had called earlier in the day and asked if I needed an appointment and they said no, come in any time the tailor is here 11-6 today. So I arrived at 1 and was told the tailor was on lunch and to come back at 2. Not a huge problem, I understand. I returned at 2 with the suit, put it on and when the tailor came out she was very rude. She told me it was an old suit and it needed to be cleaned. The suit I was wearing had not been worn since the last time it was dry cleaned and I had brought it in the plastic from the dry cleaners. I didn’t have the ticket anymore though and I guess there was too much lint on the jacket for her to touch it. If the policy is you need to show a dry cleaning ticket in order for alterations to be done that should be stated, especially if someone calls over the phone to ask about alterations. I do want to say that all of the other employees I interacted with were pleasant and helpful. One lady who was helping me even seemed upset when the tailor told me to leave, making me think this probably happens often. Don’t waste your time with this rude and unpleasant tailor. Go to a local family owned spot that actually cares about their customers, like Mike’s in Holly Hill. I went there immediately after and he was able to do my alterations no problem. He even said that it was pointless to dry clean the jacket before getting it altered because it would get wrinkly and need to be cleaned after. He actually laughed when I told him what...
