I was here two weeks ago and I needed to purchase a bike for my son. A young lady offered to help but admitted that she knew nothing about bikes. I asked her what the difference was between two bikes and she proceeded to read the descriptions. I explained that I have extensively researched these models and asked if she could get a person who is knowledgeable in this department. It took a very long time but I was able to get my questions answered and I purchased the bike. Just today I went back to get some Yeti mugs and summer cloths. I had a cart with about $300 worth of merchandise and waited at the sole checkout line behind six other people. The line kept getting longer and I wondered why the second register attendant was casually socializing. Neither of them called for help. After 10 minutes of waiting in a line that surely would have taken another 15 or so to get to me, I left my cart and proceeded to walk through the empty counter towards the exit. The sole cashier who was servicing customers yelled at me and said "she was next" pointing to the #2 person in line. I think she believed that the other cashier was done socializing and was ready to do her job. I explained that I am leaving and will purchase these items from Amazon. She smirked and turned away. I called to explain this to a manager (Patrick) and he was not surprised. I believe this is indicative of the culture at this store. I know I could have saved a lot by purchasing online but I am proud to support local merchants. I will never come back to this store. It is unfortunate because I would have come back that evening with my trailer to purchase a couple kayaks and SUP's. Instead I will go elsewhere. Can't imagine this store will be around...
Read moreTerrible customer service. Went to buy 2 kayaks, and they said it would take some time to get one unloaded. I said I'd come back in a couple hours to get them both. Came back and as requested I mentioned to the workers at the front of the store I came to get the kayaks. They said they only had one of them and would I just want to get that one. I said no, I need two kayaks. Then I said can we order the second one after I received a blank stare. Was greeted with some ummms, haven't done that before, then yes l, i can do that. Go to order the kayaks and it wouldn't let them order one to the store, but it would let them ship it to other stores. I replied this could possibly be because your system is showing it in stock even though it couldn't be located. I asked for someone who could figure it out the issue and the 4 of them standing around seemed to be upset at that request. They said they could ship it to my house (expensive shipping), or ship it to the west Chester store (25 min away). I said never mind and left. Went to the West Chester store and they had them in stock... no shipment was necessary. This should have been checked at Mason. Completely different customer service with staff that were knowledgeable. The Mason store needs to upskill their workers with basic problem solving. Being told not sure, no idea, would you only like to get the one, and having to lead the problem resolution conversation is a little much for a sporting...
Read moreAs I walked in the store tonight at 7pm, there are 4 associates standing and chit chatting amongst themselves. None of them greated me or even asked if they could help. I had to interject their conversation to ask a question. I was returning two pairs of shoe's. As I go to get in line, I notice only one employee actually working and running a register. His name is Daniel. I'm the 3rd person waiting in line, as the party of four employees continue to talk about "hanging out". Daniel was quick and courteous. Five stars for Daniel and negative five stars for the other employees as they are being paid to NOT...
