Okay so we found Chef Lucia and An Affair To Remember Catering last summer when we were looking for a caterer near Laingsburg for our wedding 6/4/22. We had a couple conversations over the phone discussing what menu we were thinking and the style of food. After that, we were invited to a tasting in their kitchen in Lansing. She had the place settings all setup how they would on the day of and explained all of the courses. We met her staff and her dessert chef. Everyone was super friendly and attentive. The kitchen had some gnats flying around, which we think was from the open door that evening. Anyways, the food was phenomenal and we booked AATR. Leading up to our wedding whenever I had questions Chef Lucia responded super fast. The week before the wedding we talked about the day and menu. I also spoke with Alec, our personal concierge AATR provides for the bride and groom. We discussed brunch for the morning of and any sweets/snacks to include in our booze bag for after the wedding. On our wedding the team arrived on time and quickly set things up. The brunch for us girls getting ready was delicious. The appetizers during cocktail hour I heard were delicious, only complaint we heard was not enough. As bride & groom we got a personal plate of apps, dinner, & dessert. Everyone else was served family style for dinner, which leads us to think that's why there wasn't enough food. Some guests might have taken too much. The dinner was delicious. They served filet, pasta with shrimp, carrots & mashed potatoes. Our menu we wanted was filet, pasta with shrimp, and brussel sprouts. We don't know why we got the other sides. It was still delicious, but not what we thought. Dinner also took a while to get out. Now they did have staffing issues and lost a couple waiters right before dinner. So Chef Lucia and our concierge were serving guest tables to expedite dinner. The sweets table looked beautiful as well and looking back at our wedding pics the treats all looked delicious. But we didn't get a chance to try any. By the time dinner finished and we cut our cake it was time for our 1st dances. They set a plate of sweets aside for us, but we had already started dancing. Lastly, our booze bag was taken or lost, which wasn't AATR's fault. Alec pulled me aside from the dance floor before leaving and told me where he was putting it. But by the end of the night when we went to leave it was no where to be found. We think some guests found it. So we made a late night 711 run after our wedding for some snacks and drinks. All in all we would recommend AATR catering if you need a caterer near Lansing. She was great to work with and very helpful. The food was delicious and our guests loved whatever they got. This caterer is all inclusive and has so many things included to add a little extra to your day. Plus,...
