Anna's Nail at Cherry Creek — Local services in Denver

This was my first time visiting this location and unfortunately I had such a poor experience. I came in a week ago for a mani and pedi with my sister who always comes here, I paid $135 for a gel mani and pedi and one sticker design which is no problem but I do think they fall behind on the luxury they try to give. I have been to many high end nail salons and this one is falling behind especially on the quality of service.

The day after I noticed the gel polish had oxidized on my nails which made me panic thinking my nails were yellow, i’ll attach pictures. I called and I believe I spoke to Anna, I was met with a cold response saying they didn’t have any time for today and they could only take me the day after, huge inconvenience for me but anything to get my ugly nails fixed. When I arrived at the time of my appointment Anna greeted me with such a low demeanor and didn’t even tell me what was gonna happen with my appointment just looked at my nails and walked away. I didn’t get seated until 30 minutes after, even though I was a paying customer I wasn’t offered water like everybody else, and also still waited even more time after being seated because Nico (who did my nails) had another customer during my appointment. I shrugged that off and just wanted my nails to look okay, when asking for polish I asked for white french tip which Nico then asked Anna if that was possible (?) and they ended up saying they didn’t have enough time to do my nails even though I paid for the extra sticker and stuff that was equivalent to the french tip and never got anything for it. Long story short they ended up changing my polish very sloppy, pushing my cuticle way too back and rushing so much that my nail polish is bumpy. This is very unfortunate since my friends and family love this place, I would like to believe I just got a bad day. Let me start off by saying that I’ve been going to this place multiple times over the past few months and I have had generally a very good experience. The staff is friendly and nice and they generally do a really good job. This review is not regarding any of the nail techs because they work really hard at what they do but when I was checking out, I was asked if I paid through ClassPass which I had and then the woman at the front desk proceeded to charge me $50 extra because she said I got nail art on my nails and got one tip put on. I showed her that I didn’t have any nail art and then I had just chosen different colors and she said it was the same thing even though I didn’t have any crazy designs or anything, I just had five different colors chosen. She still said that it counted as nail art and proceeded to charge me $40. I was really confused because every single time that I have gone there I have only been charged extra if I had gotten gel x tips or to add a tip for my nail tech. Never have I been charged an extra $40 on top of what I already paid through ClassPass which covers the full charge of a gel mani, but after asking her multiple times to explain the charge I just gave up and paid it only to realize once I got back to my car that the whole visit had cost over $100 and I hadn’t even gotten a full set of acrylics. Honestly, the whole thing really turned me off and it makes me not wanna go to this nail salon again even though I’ve gone multiple times and had a good experience. Walked in on a Saturday because they had really good reviews and glad to have a short 20 minute wait to be seated. Really loved the inside and the reception staff was super polite! Very limited options as far as design add ons go(I wanted to add a diamond to a nail but she told me they don’t do that). Unfortunately was dissatisfied with my nail tech’s service. It felt very rushed and she hardly spoke to me. Cut two fingers on my right hand and didn’t get acknowledgement- much less and apology. At the end she wiped each mail down with an alcohol pad on my open cuts so that stung a bit. When I got back to my vehicle, I noticed that she didn’t do a good job cleaning the extra polish off my fingers and underneath(pictured). Shortly after she applied the last top coat, she touched my right pinky nail to see if it was dry and it wasn’t but she’s didn’t fix the texture left on that nail from doing so.
