What a shame......because this place does have good brands and a decent selection of clothing...obviously it’s not the Galleria or anything, but what I was in complete shock about was the customer service... I honestly felt like I was Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman.... Except I was decently dressed, in fact the one (and only one staff that decided to help me) let me know that they had just sold the shoes I was currently wearing. It was as though I was being judged the whole time...was I too attractive or unattractive, dressed too nice or not nice enough, or were they unsure if I would drop hundreds of dollars?, maybe they should they wait for the next person who may spend more money? Gosh, such a gamble, how about just be kind to everyone? Oh and if you’re going to follow someone around maybe ask them there name, you know be kind. Either way, they clearly hand wait on the regulars......Ironic as I had just gotten the best customer service from Neiman Marcus the day before and somehow I ended up spending several thousand...funny how that works 🤷♀️ I made a point to say hello or give a compliment to all the staff (excuse me, stylists) that ignored or frowned at me.....One even telling her client....in front of me as I was holding a $300 blouse that she was “so over that color “ as she sipped her coffee and walked right past me. What?! Way to make a sale. And yes, I can say that as I too am in sales, medical/ not fashion, but I do happen to have great taste! I CAN’T stand such snobbery But from reading the other comments...I’d gather to say they like it that way and I’m assuming it won’t change...and that is why I say what a SHAME.......I love to shop but unfortunately won’t be spending my bonuses there! Big mistake, Big....Huge, ..I may even say. 🤣 Try watching the Ellen show/learn kindness and start loving yourself so you stop projecting your insecurities on your customers. Namaste 🙏 *After reading more reviews, I would like to note that the lady helping me, did in fact at least help and came over to show me the jewelry as I started looking, but I still just got the feeling that she was waiting for me to leave as she assumed I would not be making a purchase. Maybe I’m just used to Southern Hospitality? I guess what led me to make a review is that I also witnessed ANOTHER customer trying to return something as I was checking out....and now I know who the older blonde that is mentioned in multiple other negative reviews. “Don’t shoot the messenger” she said with a look of disgust when the poor customer was 2 days past the “return date window “ ...again maybe it’s just my southern roots or they didn’t realize it had been poor driving conditions due to the snow?...just saying...2 lost...
Read moreI have lived in Denver for 15 years and just recently stumbled upon Garbarini! Seriously, where have I been? To be honest, I have avoided Cherry Creek for some time because of the construction, lack of parking and reputation for snobbishness. Well, not at this little gem! There is plenty of parking for Garbarini customers across the street (they give you a pass at the front) and the staff is lovely and helpful.
I went in during their summer sales event and spent 2 hours browsing and trying on clothing. 2 hours is unheard of, as I spent that much time in the entire mall usually. The great selection or merchandise and welcoming ambiance made is such a delight to shop here. The shop is big for a boutique but well organized. You can find sections for evening wear, party outfits, casual attire, shoes, accessories etc. Even the sales section was neatly arranged in sizes and style which made browsing easy and efficient.
And the staff, let me tell you! They don't hover over you uncomfortably but give you space, checking in every so often and offering to load clothing into your dressing room (you read that right, I had a whole load of sale items). When I tried things on, my stylist Sierra helped pick out items and gave polite suggestions. When she was occupied, other stylists came and I freely picked their brains on opinions and how to match things. Everyone chimed in, even owner Terri came by and helped! I felt as if I was shopping with a bunch of girlfriends in tow!
I must say I previously thought Garbarini was a store for women my mom's age (I'm 35) but I was proven wrong. They carry so many different styles and brands to suit a wide range of fashionable women. I scored a pair of AG Jeans and a high waist pencil skirt with moto detail which I adore! I could probably get something similar at the mall across the street but I why not support a local business that carries quality, curated stuff and get all the attention from these lovely ladies? I am more and more transitioning to boutique shopping and needless to say Garbarini is now on my list...
Read moreI was a little intimidated to go into this store the first time as I wasn't a boutique sort of shopper. Now I won't shop anywhere else in Denver. Garbarini has everything from formal dresses for galas and events, to jeans, jackets and jewelry. After getting to know the staff and owner, I have total respect and appreciation for how they build their collections. Everything in there is truly the best of the best. And, I don’t have to peruse racks and try to put outfits together, they do it for you. The staff is fantastic and always willing to help this busy working mom who never has time to shop.
I have worked with Lin, one of the master stylists there for several years now and love that she understands my style but also pushes me to try new things that I inevitably end up falling in love with. I can call ahead and she pulls together a rack specific to me, in my size and ready to try on. It’s the best way to shop!
Oh, and they have free parking across the street which is a total plus in Cherry...
