Seoul K-Food FTW! So glad you came to Depoe Bay - we needed you badly! Staff are excellent from the congenial and welcoming servers to the amazing chef. My partner is Korean so I'm no stranger to this wonderful cuisine, and Seoul K-Food is authentic and absolutely delicious. More traditional menu choices than I normally see at regular U.S. Korean restaurants - this is not just bibimbap or BBQ - they have it all, almost... my partner is waiting for his childhood comfort food: jajangmyeon! My favorite Korean dish is Jeyuk Bokkeum (spicy pork bulgogi) and theirs is perfection. They even have Kimchi soup!!! Today I tried their impressive sushi menu and wow! Beautiful presentation, super attentive to detail and so fresh. Definitely a notch above normal Oregon coast sushi restaurants. Chef even prepared a special, amazingly delicious off-the-menu roll for me at no charge - I think he could tell how impressed I was! I can't say enough about this place or the incredible people behind it. Everyone one needs to frequent Seoul K-Food and promote it's long life in Depoe Bay. Even if you are only passing through our little town, you simply must stop here. You will not regret your decision! Thank you, Seoul K-Food, for bringing your lovely, authentic cuisine to the Oregon coast. Long live...
Read moreI'm not sure why this restaurant is rated so high.
First of all, the service was the worst service we've ever had. We've been to tons of restaurants but never seen anything close to the service here.
We dined in on Tuesday 1st of July. Got here at 6.30 pm, but the sushi roll didn't get here until 7.22 pm. We also ordered a chicken bibimbap, but it never came. We were there for an hour at least so we decided to pay and cancel the bibimbap that we didn't get.
We still don't understand why the food took that long and it wasn't busy at all. There were only 2 tables before us. We had to ask for water because the server didn't bring it to us within 20 minutes. We also saw 2 tables left while we were waiting for our food.
When we went to pay, the girl who was the server wanted us to keep waiting (it had already been over an hour since we ordered) and said there was a big table before us that's why the food took so long. So I asked her why she didn't let us know when we ordered. She said she didn't know that it would take so long for the chefs to make the food. She's very unprofessional.
The food was not worth the headache. If you don't wanna have bad experience and waste your time and money like us just stay away...
Read moreThe Oregon Coast can be a bit of a food desert. As long as you want clam chowder, fish and chips, a burger and french fries, you can eat to your heart's content. But some of us crave some different cuisine from time to time. That's where Seoul K-food really shines. Not only are they offering delicious Korean fare with some Japanese mixed in, but they're doing a great job with it. I would have likely been satisfied with mediocre offerings, just for something different, but luckily they are offering way better than mediocre. This is seriously solid Korean food. And if you haven't tried Korean yet, let me just say, their cuisine is spectacular and unique in all the best ways. I'm so glad they are here and feel an urge to evangelize for them, in the hopes that they would be successful and encourage others to take more of a risk and expand out from the tired, overplayed typical offerings. A huge YES to Seoul K-Food and more food diversity on the...
