Seems as if this is a common occurrence. Walked into the store, doors wide open, customer currently ordering and we were rudely told they were closed by the young lady standing behind the counter. Mind you, doors were wide open, multiple employees behind the counter. The store gave off every sign that they were still open. If it was too close to closing and you no longer could serve, I’d have been fine with a kind notification and an apology for appearing to still be open. However, the snotty look as we stepped through the open doors and not but two seconds later rudely told they were closed as she shook her head as if we committed a sin, was extremely rude and lacking in customer service. I came in to get 2 ice cream cones at 5:48pm and was told by jacob that they are not serving ice cream even though the open sign is on and the boy even said they were, in fact, open, he even said that his till was still open- he just was not serving any ice cream to would be customers. What has happened to businesses taking care of their customers? You'd think that in these financially difficult times that every transaction would be important, every customer appreciated not turned away nearly 15mins before closing. I guess it was just too hard a job for jacob to slap 2 scoops of ice cream on their cones and collect the payment and his tip (no change necessary) in 15 minutes of time. Stopped on Friday on way home from Birthday beach trip! Looking for good Carmel corn as I had not been able to find any since “Philips Candies” in Seaside closed down. Looked couple different places in Depoe Bay before I checked “Depoe Bay Candy Company” . Didn’t look good so decided to try one more place, your’s!!
