Target — Local services in Diamond Springs

Excited about a brand new target in Placerville where the old Kmart used to be. This store offers everything you would expect target to have. And it’s shiny and new so everything is very clean and organized. I found everything I needed for my shopping trip today and then was checking out. I was about to get five stars until the checkout process failed. I was buying a gift card for someone and had several checkers all gathered around trying to figure out how to do it. The manager finally came over and asked me to move to a different line. They again were having problems and he said for my trouble he would give me 10% off. When they were done ringing up my order, which was over $300, the checker asked how to give a discount. The manager then I just got off five dollars. I’m not sure what kind of math that is but it certainly did not equal 10%. Will be nice when they get their act together. I had to park way out in the parking lot and when I was done unloading my car I had to take it all the way back to the store because the card returns are in about the third parking spot from the doorway. Those should be moved out until the middle of the parking lot so you don’t have to walk all the way back to the store. It’s a typical target, but the customer service needs some help. I love the large selection of products that they have. All of the workers there are really nice and smiling so you feel good. They don't always know where the product that you might be looking for is. They will try to help you find it though. There are plenty of places to grab hand sanitizer. They sanitize the carts and self cashiers. So you shouldn't worry about that. This target is new so the carts aren't broken. The holiday section is always being updated. You can find just about any decoration you want there. They have plenty of candy brands, so if you want to have some candy or for a project that would be a great place to go to. They have a great selection a sizes for clothing. The return policy is nice and very quick. The restrooms are in the back, near the beauty supply. I have not been inside of their restrooms but from what I have heard from my friends the restrooms are clean. I recommend...

I went to this new Target recently and contrary to the one-star reviews, I thought this Target felt pretty big, but perhaps it’s the layout that makes it feel that way. Regardless, I found all of the essentials and then some, that I needed. I intentionally wanted to wait several days after the opening to avoid the herd. If all you are used to is shopping at those super-sized stores with nothing but junk products and zoned-out employees just waiting for their retirement, and have no compassion for new stores and staff needing to work out the kinks, then this Target is not for you. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, don’t take it out on the employees - please have some patience and understanding. Have you heard of a place called Amazon.com? Google it. Overall, I’m happy that this Target is here and I hope the one-star reviewers will not deter others...
