ALDI — Local services in Dover

I stopped in the Dover store on the way home from running errands. I was not a 'happy camper' when I left. The cashier was very rude and sarcastic to me. I used my shopping bags to collect the items I purchased and I had gotten a little more than I planned. I had set the bags (3 of them) on the conveyor with the items in them and had not taken the items out yet as there was another customer ahead of me still checking out. I was waiting until she was finished. He told me I had to take everything out of the bags for him to ring them up. He moved the conveyor up to where I couldn't reach the bags so to take anything out of them and the other customer's cart was still there. He seemed to become angry and started taking the items out himself. He literally threw my groceries in the shopping cart next to him and told me I couldn't take it and that it stayed there.I'm not sure if I want to go back there again. I have shopped at the Smyrna and Middletown location and have never come across anyone like that. I gave one star because I like the store and a second...

Ordered via instacart and when I got home I noticed my fresh French green beans were wet and had slime on them. I brought the green beans back to the store for a refund so I did not have to trade rotten produce for rotten produce. I was told that I could not get a refund since I ordered from instacart. My thought was the produce came from your location, why not? I am sure Instacart will pay you for the bad item that was sold. Do the employees at Aldi look at the food before bagging and putting in your car. I will no longer patronize Aldi or order from instacart. My business may not be the reason for your success but significant none the less. Keep your suspect food and train your employees...

This is the Dover store. Went to the Camden store first, then the Smyrna, and now the Dover one. I can't say enough good things about them so far. They're not perfect, but they have probably saved our lives financially over the few years we've been going there. Right when I thought Walmart was getting too high in prices for my budget, and you can find almost anything you need for yourself or your house and yard there. I believe they have their own brands for products which makes them cheaper. The stores are small but very well packed with goods. I love some of the foreign foods, and what I call the "special aisle" with all the things besides food. My daughter and I look forward to going...
