Ace Hardware Draper — Local services in Draper

This store was a struggle. I had found something on the Ace app and specifically drove 30 min to this store to get it. When I got there, the staff seemed confused. One person couldn’t get the cage open, so then another person comes to help and he’s super cranky. He unlocked one of three cages for this item and kind of poked around and declared they didn’t have the item. He said it “might be in one of the bin in back” and that I could check back tomorrow night. I explained that I had driven from a ways away and would not be able to come back tomorrow night. I also mentioned that the app said it’s in stock at that location, which made him reply with some surly comment about not believing what I see on the internet. The whole experience was totally a 180 from Ace’s usual customer service and we won’t be going to that...

I walked in to find 5 employees listening to one tell a story. They managed to break away to ask me if I needed help. All I needed was some matching carriage bolts. They pointed me to isle 10 where they said they had plenty of options of bolts. I said thanks and looked for a second. Couldn’t find the matching set so I walked out again where three other baffled employees didn’t know how to help me find the specific hardware I needed. This is why I go to the competition. I used the online portal to order some items online for local store pickup. They said I would receive an email telling me my order was ready. I thought maybe this would be a great option since I have a couple errands to run and am getting short on time. After no email for almost 4 hours, I went to the store to find 3 teen employees standing around doing absolutely nothing. I asked them about my order and apparently they just hadn't gotten to it yet. I placed this order on Wednesday around noon so its not like they were busy. Unfortunately its worth the hassle just to drive a little further to Home Depot...
