This order was carryout. The owner of this place has found a real arbitrage opportunity - buy Costco pizza and sell it for 5x the price. This pizza was SO mid - I could not in good conscience recommend it to anyone. The other food on the menu must be great for it to have this many stars, or they're giving out free food for positive reviews. We got Ultimate Pepperoni, Margherita, Cheese, cheesy bread, and the cinnamon sugar dessert pizza. First, the pizza literally tasted like...well...not much of anything. Just really bland, like Costco or Sam's Club pizza. The texture, the flavor, everything. Mid. And for $28 for a "16 inch" pizza, I expect something good, if not dynamite. This is like cafeteria food. Admittedly, we are from the East coast, so maybe this is just the non-chain pizza experience in Utah? The second thing to talk about is the "16 inch" pizza. I've noticed in Utah that people don't really understand the concept of the Imperial Pizza System of Measurement (e.g. The Pie Pizzaria has this issue, I've measured). 16" pizzas should be that size after it's cooked. This 16" is more like a large from Papa Johns. It MIGHT have been 16" at some point though. The only slightly redeeming thing was the dessert pizza, which was actually pretty tasty. The crust was a bit dry, but overall it was good. RE: the pizza - the kids were groaning and barely ate anything and we all felt gross after dinner. As is the way of our days, the ordering website (grubhub) asked for a tip prior to providing any service, but that's another conversation. Here's a tip though: Save your hard earned money and spend it on better pizza somewhere else, if such a thing exists here. Or maybe just order from a national pizza chain, where at least you won't...
Read moreWe were down the way at Ace Hardware, and could smell the delicious Sourdough pizza scent lingering heavenly in the air. It was lunch time, so I suggested we eat there. We had never been to a Pier 49 Pizza before.... Now after trying the rest, we have found the BEST!! The flavor combinations are a delight to the palette! We had their BBQ Chicken which was AMAZING... but, the surprise of the day was the Seafood Pizza! It was like a herd of tiny unicorns & mermaids dancing on our tastebuds! I know that sounds silly... but it was such over the top perfection of flavors, nothing else could describe how wonderful this pizza was! Ever since COVID hit, food quality on a whole has suffered. This pizza made up for all the months of just OK food at other places... Pier 49 Pizza is a shining beacon, lighthouse, if you will, of delectable, scrumptious food!! Sorry wonderful Brick Oven Pizza, after 35 exquisite years as my absolute favorite... you have been replaced, Pier 49 Pizza has beat you hands down as my new number one pick for Pizza! Thank you Brad, the Manager/Owner for making my visit so much FUN too! I look forward to many years of enjoying your pizzas... the BEST pizza...
Read moreAfter working at this location for almost 2 years I an happy to give my full review. The food is splendid! The sourdough crust is elite in every undertaking way. In more specifics I recommend the thin crusts as the golden globe for a quick meal for you and your buddies. Next the service is abstract having an array of workers. But when you walk into Pier 49 you are greeted with a tune of "Welcome to Pier 49 and Draper!" Now of course service can be rocky sometimes as we know everyone isn't a robot, mistakes happen, but overall everyone is great.
Pier 49 is a go to place fir a family outing or, if you have the time, enjoy the All You Can Eat lunch special with free pizza and salad and bread-twists from 11-2pm. Also Tuesdays are our Double Punch Tuesdays where your punch card for the draper location will be punched double amount of times!
Anyway if you read all that, you might as well stop by. Who knows...I might be in to say hi.
Sincerely,...
