A Boat Day — Local services in Dunedin

On Wednesday, April 24,2024 we had Captain Jordan as our host. She greeted us with a warm smile and welcomed us onto the boat. We rented the 27 foot Four Winns Premium Deckboat. It was a new boat that was super comfortable with a very smooth ride. We had perfect weather for boating. As we set out for our 4-hour cruise Captain Jordan asked us if there was anything we wanted to do out on the water. We asked to see as much marine wildlife as possible and check out some of the islands. Captain Jordan did not disappoint. Within the first 30 minutes we saw Dolphins and Manatee’s. Captain Jordan made sure that we were able to get plenty of pictures while not interfering with these beautiful creatures. But that was only the start, we later saw Sand Dollars, Starfish and Sting Rays. Captain Jordan to took us to an amazing sand bar West of Honeymoon Island. We were able to go snorkeling in crystal clear water. With the help of Captain Jordan we located live Sand Dollars. Captain Jordan was our Marine Wildlife Expert who shared many facts about the Florida Marine Life. In addition, she explained the ever-shifting barrier islands. Later she took us to one of her favorite islands where we anchored and collected many exotic shells along the island shore. The bird life on these islands was equally incredible. Busy? Full schedule? Exhausted parents? Exhausted kiddos? Yep. This is us. We needed a reset. A way to enjoy each other's company. A way to relax THIS TRIP PROVIDED JUST THAT! I was able to sit back and enjoy the views. The captain had the perfect amount of gravitas that allowed me, the mom of 4, to relax while giving my boys the confidence to slide into the Bay like the cool kids they are. The trip taxied us around the beautiful islands, including the Caladesi Island State Park. We learned a lot about the bay, its depth, the wild life, fish, and the most impressive dolphins. We enjoyed numerous beautiful interactions with dolphins while learning so many facts about these smart sea creatures. Oh my gosh! My friends and I had the absolute best experience with Captain Jordan! She was super nice and laid back and made sure to go over safety at the start of our day. We loved the ride itself which was made even better by the onboard Bluetooth, but our favorite part was the little island we went to! Perfect for lounging (we loved the huge float provided) or having some fun in nature. We found so many cool shells! The water provided on board was a huge plus. We didn’t get to take advantage of the slide because of a storm moving in, but I view that as a plus because it gives me an excuse to find a reason to book again lol. Cannot...
