Since the start, Nikki and Nancy (wedding coordinators) were wonderful keeping a binder of all my thoughts and wishes for the wedding. Each time I toured the ballroom (about 4 times before the wedding) they were so sweet and made sure I was on track with planning. They assisted with setting up the reception, even allowing me to utilize some of their decor and signage which saved me money in the long run. They offered kids meals at discounted priced and teen pricing for guests who do not drink alcohol. I wanted mocktails for my specialty drinks and they helped make it happen. I dropped all my decor and seating arrangements off the night before and they set everything up for me. When I arrived, I was provided with my specialty beverage while waiting for our grand entrance to start which was so thoughtful. After our first dance, our head server approached us and made sure we sat down to eat our appetizers which he saved for us during cocktail hour (awww). Then he made sure we took time to enjoy our meal and provide us with beverages upon our request. I really didn’t have to ask for anything as he and the other servers were very good at anticipating your needs. My guests all raved about the food and how much they loved it in addition to how friendly and helpful the waitstaff were. They would take pictures, talk to the guests and get the party started! At the end of the night they were wonderful helping me round up all of the decor I brought from the night before. Exceptional service through and through, from the moment I reached out about a tour to after my honeymoon, they continue to reach out to ensure everything was exactly how I imagined. I highly recommend Bon Appetit for everyone, its affordable, and the staff genuinely care about you and your wedding. (P.S. They have a dock just outside for beautiful photos at sunset!)

We celebrated my aunt's 100th Birthday at Bon Appetit on a Sunday in April. We have had Birthday Celebrations at Bon Appetit for her the past 5 years and Christmas Parties, too. The upstairs venue is excellent for a large party. The views from the room are spectacular- with floor to ceiling windows offering awesome water views. There is a large bar in the room, making it great for a party that serves alcohol. We opted for an Open Bar for the birthday party. The staff Nancy & Nikki are both great at working with us on food, set up, etc. to make it a wellrun event. Their menu is good - we had Salmon, Chicken, and Prime Rib with Asparagus and Fingerling Potatoes. They now have wireless microphone which makes it much easier for the announcement or programs. In our opinion Bon Appetit has the best venue for a large party. The setting is the best. It was nice that they'd had a party the day before and left the seat covers on the chairs which added to the appearance and charm of the room. We had 70 attendees at this birthday party. The staff was helpful with our decorations and party gifts. Our only negatives are the serving portions are a bit "small". One piece of salmon, chicken, 3 spears of broccoli and 3 or 4 fingerling potatoes seems very light. Guests can go back for more. Additionally, we had the petite dessert so guests could try a couple, as we had done in the past. At this party, they did not plan with enough desserts so guests could only have one. It is a very small dessert so really just a tasting. It was an awesome party for my aunt's 100th birthday. We had a Banner for her party which became a backdrop for pictures with her. Note: pictures are a challenge due to the mirrors in the room so you have the "backs" of people and with all the natural light it can be bit of a challenge, too.

This review is comparing this experience to other fine dining restaurant experiences and not regular restaurants (Ruth’s Chris, Capital Grille, California Grill etc). Location: Amazing water views and beautiful location. The restaurant is dated looking and could use a decorating and interior design update. Service: Csabo (spelling?) was great! He was very friendly and took pride in explaining everything to us and used the iPad to show us pictures of what our food “would and should” look like. Food and drinks: We ordered the Key Lime martini and it was delicious like a dessert in a glass. The espresso martini was ok and the wines were enjoyable. The appetizers included lobster bisque soup (a 3 out of 5), French onion soup (4 out of 5) Side salad (3 out of 5). The grandkids ordered peanut butter and jelly and commented the bread was “too dry.” Entrees: we ordered filet mignon well done, Chilean Sea Bass, Shrimp Alfredo and the Dover Sole. The steak was served rare and we had to get a new one. The next version was butterflied. While I appreciate that they took a shortcut to ensure it was well done, my complaint is if this is a fine dining restaurant the chef should know how to cook the steak. I was happy they did not try to recook the same steak! The shrimp dish was unusual in that the Alfredo sauce wasn’t Alfredo it was butter?? The shrimp were frozen and bland. The sea bass was the worse I’ve ever had and extremely over cooked and the whole dish was served lukewarm. The squash in red pepper sauce was a terrible pairing. The Dover sole was good and they deboned it at the table. Lastly the desserts: Key lime pie was a 1, it was wet and did not have real cream on it. The coconut pie was very good!

Bon Appétit Restaurant & Bar offers a dining experience like no other, with its stunning oceanfront location providing the perfect backdrop for a memorable meal. From the moment you arrive, you're greeted by breathtaking views of the ocean, with sailboats gliding by in the distance, creating a picturesque scene that sets the tone for a delightful dining experience.

One of the highlights of dining at Bon Appétit is the opportunity to enjoy your meal while taking in the beauty of the ocean. Whether you're seated indoors or outdoors, you're treated to panoramic views that are truly mesmerizing. There's something magical about watching the boats sail by as you savor each bite of your meal and sip on a glass of wine.

Speaking of the food, Bon Appétit certainly lives up to its name. The menu features a variety of delicious dishes crafted with care and attention to detail. From fresh seafood to mouthwatering steaks, there's something to please every palate. And the service is top-notch, with attentive staff ensuring that your dining experience is nothing short of exceptional.

Adding to the ambiance is the live music that often fills the air at Bon Appétit. Whether it's a talented local musician strumming a guitar or a lively band playing upbeat tunes, the music adds an extra layer of enjoyment to your meal, creating a festive atmosphere that enhances the overall dining experience.

And let's not forget about the option for outdoor dining. The opportunity to dine al fresco, with the ocean breeze gently caressing your skin, is truly a treat for the senses. It's the perfect way to soak up the sunshine and enjoy the natural beauty of the surroundings while indulging in a delicious meal.

Overall, my experience at Bon Appétit Restaurant & Bar was nothing short of spectacular. With its beautiful ocean views, delectable cuisine, attentive service, and live music, it's a dining destination that's sure to leave a...

I had the pleasure of dining at Bon Appétit in Dunedin today on a double date, and it was a delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, the ambience was lovely, with a beautiful ocean view even from our table indoors (the patio was full, but we were graciously seated at the best table inside). The staff were impeccably dressed, professional, and welcoming, and the bathrooms were spotless—a small detail that says a lot about the establishment.

Our server, Ryan, was truly exceptional. Friendly, helpful, and accommodating, he made our dining experience seamless and enjoyable.

We started with drinks: I ordered the Ocean Breeze cocktail, which was perfectly balanced. My husband enjoyed a Negroni, our friend had a Chardonnay, and her husband had an Old Fashioned. A small critique for the Old Fashioned—it came with multiple ice cubes instead of the traditional single cube, which wasn’t to his preference, but the drink itself was fine.

For food, we shared the house salad, the octopus appetizer, and the bouillabaisse as my main dish. Our friends opted for the tuna and lobster stack and the grouper sandwich. My girlfriend has dairy and gluten intolerances, and Ryan went above and beyond to ensure her dietary needs were met.

Overall, the food was very good, with just a couple of notes: the octopus dish, while flavorful, has changed over the years. It arrived with a buttery sauce and lots of vegetables but not much octopus. When I requested a simplified version without the buttery sauce, Ryan quickly replaced it—still tasty, but again, light on the octopus. On the other hand, the bouillabaisse was phenomenal, and my friends had no complaints about their dishes—they thoroughly enjoyed their meals.

Bon Appétit impressed me with its beautiful atmosphere, attentive service, and delicious food. While there were minor tweaks to preferences, the overall experience was excellent. I would...

My husband and I went to Bon Appetit today 9/1/2024 to celebrate our anniversary. As usual we enjoy sitting outside. As we approached the entrance we were not greeted with hello how many but " Do you have a reservation "? My husband and I are there frequently and this was the first time I was asked that. So I said if we are sitting in the outside area, is it a new rule to have reservations? The server said no. So I was a bit taken back by her response. By the way the place was fairly empty so there were many tables open. We asked to sit by the window. The server said but it is hot you should sit at the high top. I politely said no thanks a table by the water is what we would like. As we sat down we were greeted by Melissa our server. She asked if we wanted drinks and we said we would like to look at the menu. The menu was a tablet. My husband has poor eye sight, so I should have asked for a paper menu. However, I helped him with his selections. We began to look at the menu and our drinks arrived. The server asked if we wanted to order. We said not yet we just got our drinks. Well to make a long story short and I want to mention again, it was not busy so it was not like we were holding up a table but the server kept asking if we were ready to order! We finally ordered and we were very pleased with our food. The server kept asking if we wanted anything else. We just started eating! We felt like she either wanted to leave and go home or just wanted us to leave. It was a very uncomfortable feeling. When we asked for the check she asked us if we were ready to pay! My husband took out his card but did not have the chance to review the bill. Very disappointed with the service. We wanted a nice relaxing dinner but it felt like there was a fire in the building and we had to get out. We got the bums rush and we were not happy with the...
