This charter was more than my family and I could have dreamed of! My husband and I are interested in learning how to sail, so he took the time to let us be hands on and show us what sailing is all about. My 4 year old daughter even had a few jobs to help! In addition to showing us what sailing is all about, he shared sea stories, coloring books, binoculars, drinks and snacks. On the way in and our of the marina we had pods of dolphins following us and he so kindly made the effort to slow down and even turn around so my daughter could really get a great view of them showing off. We haven’t stopped talking about this day trip, and would absolutely do it every time we return to the area. We just completed an overnight cruise to Gulfport with Captain Harry on Wind Star Charters. Capt. H. is nothing short of a class act. He brings a rich background of lifelong experiences to his captaincy which keeps the conversation flowing about all things sailing and all things Florida coast. My family and I also run a sailing charter business on Lake Champlain and I was looking for specific coastal sailing experiences. Captain Harry delivered. Wind Star is a fine ketch sailboat that is roomy and well equipped for overnight or day cruising. Dream trip!!! ❤️ my dad and I have always talked about sailing but life got in the way. Captain Harry made this a bucket list experience for both of us. My father hadn’t been sailing in years and I was eager to learn but Wind Star was amazing!! Captain Harry repeatedly told us “this is your boat” and was more than accommodating to teach us and let us learn (re-learn for my dad) how to sail. We saw dolphin and birds galore as we chose not to set foot on land for 24 hours. He provided incredible meals and the weather was absolutely delightful, including a perfect sunset.
