TL;DR: Absolutely terrible experience with this vendor. Outright lies from the manager and completely botched repair multiple times. Would not give refund until mall security got involved. They also lost critical components that were needed for repair from another shop.
I called ahead to Cellaxs to request a screen replacement and service for my Google Pixel 8a. Manager Smtarek Rahman spoke to me on the phone and claimed they had the part in store and would be able to service the same day. When I arrive, I'm told they don't have the part and I'll have to come back tomorrow morning after it arrives and they complete service.
I call ahead in the morning, they tell me to wait until after 3:00pm for pickup so they can get the part in and perform service. I show up at 3:15pm, they have not even started work yet on the phone. I'm told 10 minutes. 30 minutes later, the employee brings me back the phone and the touchscreen is completely non-functional. They never did any QA check after the replacement.
They make another attempt to open the phone and repair it but the technician damages the display cable. Says I'll have to wait until next week to get my phone back. At this point I just want my refund but he won't give it to me unless I give him my copy of my repair order document (to which he already has a carbon copy of). Very suspicious behavior, I suspect his attempt at destruction of evidence.
Mall security gets involved and its another 30 minutes before the manager agrees to a refund (upon threat of call to police for holding my property hostage).
I take my phone to another, more reputable repair shop. Within an hour or so they open it up and let me know the repair cannot proceed because Cellaxs lost a few critical internal components during repair. The first was the display bracket, it's a clip that attaches the screen connector to the motherboard and without it the cable can detach and make the screen go dead. The second was a P Sensor Grommet, which is needed for ambient light for screen brightness and proximity sensor on the phone.
At this point, I call the non-emergency line for Dunwoody police to help me recover those parts. They trick the officer by giving him one of the parts but something completely unrelated for the second. I made two more attempts with mall security to recover the part, but at this point the manager has dipped out and the other tech (who was there the whole day with him and witness to everything) feigns ignorance. First he tells security that he wasn't there, then he tells them that there was only ever one part (an incontrovertible outright lie).
The seller has still made no good faith effort to return the...

Detailed Review:
When I gave my phone for the repair, they order the part and asked me to come in, I was told to wait for two hours. after two hours when I went back to get my phone back, I was told that they were not able to start the repair. If hey were so busy why I was given the estimated time of two hours.
I told them I will come after a day or two to get the repair done. Today(8/13) I submitted my phone in the morning and I was told that my phone will be ready for pickup around 8:30 PM. When I called around 7:45 PM to check the status I was told that phone is repaired and ready for pick up. When I went to pick the phone up, Mute/Unmute switch was not working. I was told that they were not able to repair the phone and will refund me the charged money but will be charging $30.
Even though they were not able to fix my phone and I ended up wasting my time, they are going to charge me !!! I asked for the Manager's phone number and I was told that they can't share it with the customers. They told me that the manager will be in store tomorrow, so Planning to go to the store tomorrow and talk to the manager. I will update the review after having a chat with the manager.
Update: So I talked the manager and it appears that they have a clause which says that even if they are not able to reapir the phone they will charge $30 to $50.
Please beaware before singing any such document with them and STAY AWAY from...
Read moreI stepped on my iPad 2 and broke the screen. I was in a panic because I had work info on it and needed to get it repaired quickly.
I spoke with the manager Matt at the newly built Cellairis inline store at Perimeter Mall. He was great and calmed me down assuring me they could repair the device and get it back to me in 24 hours and even offered to help me download the data from the cloud if I needed help doing that. Unfortunately I had to tell him I did not use the cloud or was I backed up to it. He reminded me that they would get it taken care of and I would have it back in a day.
I was a little skeptical because I had used the Cellairis kiosk at this mall a few year ago to get an iPhone repaired and I did not like the person who dealt with me then. Come to find out the inline store is under new ownership and it happens to be owned by some guys who own a lot of Cellairis stores around the country and they have one of the best reputations in the industry for customer service and doing quality work.
I picked up the repaired iPad after 24 hours as stated and bought a screen protector and a case this time which I love. Matt was incredible, to be frank I would have paid more than I did if I knew I was going to receive the customer service I received but I did not have to! I highly recommend this Cellairis for any repair work and so this never happens again their protective...
