FINAL UPDATE--10/14: Alright, let's set the record straight. I've removed the majority of my initial review because I recognize that it was an atypical experience. I commend the spa for taking the steps that they did to make things right by me.
As for the redo massage? It was fine. Not bad at all, definitely relaxing, definitely the appropriate amount of pressure. Honestly though, it was nothing special. Maybe my expectations are too high and I've been spoiled with amazing massages in the past, but this one was a solid "meh." Again, it wasn't bad--and for most people it probably would've been acceptable--but I will probably go elsewhere in the future.
So to recap-- Customer service is 5 stars; massage quality is 3 stars; overall experience gets a reluctant 4 stars.

2ND UPDATE--9/24: I really could not be happier with the response to our unfortunate first experience. It turns out that they have some new front desk staff and that we were originally booked under the wrong type of massage, thus the wrong masseuses were on duty, and we didn't get what we expected. That's a bummer, but I appreciate the transparency and know that mistakes happen.
Ashley the manager has worked closely with us to not only compensate us for our poor experience, but also offer us a chance to try again with some vouchers. Normally I would hesitate to return to a place when the initial experience was sub-standard, but given the circumstances, I can make an exception. I will follow up once more after we go back for what I hope will be a better experience.
Thanks again to Ashley and Woodhouse for doing what they can to make things right by us.

EDITED 9/24: My girlfriend and I have been in touch with the management at Woodhouse. They seem genuinely apologetic and are working to make things right with us. I have temporarily changed this review to 3 stars, primarily because they are clearly making an effort here and will further update the review in accordance with whatever happens. I should also state that my initial review was written in a moment of frustration and a little anger, and so it may be slightly hyperbolic considering that. I will absolutely set the record straight upon the conclusion of this. Thanks to the Woodhouse management for reaching out.
I had a mediocre visit when I first went to Woodhouse for a massage. I've removed the details because they tried to make it up to me. I really appreciate that they even did that, so credit where it is do. See above for how it...
Read moreHorrific experience. Do not support this business if you want your dollars to go towards an establishment that respects and appreciates its patrons above its LGBTQ ideology. I booked a massage with woodhouse spa specifically requesting a female—only to be paired with a biological male with long hair, (Cristy).
I understand everyone has the right to dress, act and identify however they would like to & I’m fine with anyone living their life how they would like—but it’s flat out wrong to disrespect a clients request for a male or female to carry out a paid service where they will be undressed and also touched in a closed space.
It’s also a total inconvenience because you either have to suffer through it and waste your money, or have a very awkward confrontation with your masseuse on the spot about their sexual identity when you should be RELAXING—since you are not told ahead of time that your request for a female therapist has been disregarded by this persons choice of how they “identify”. They also were unable to pair me with another therapist so I wasted an hour driving there and time I could have been spending at a spa that actually prioritized my experience and preferences.
I called to ask if this was a mistake since I saw that I’m not the only person to have had this experience and leave a review about it —& I was told that it was not a mistake and that they choose to uphold the therapists view of themselves as the determining marker of whether they are male or female. The hospitality manager also went on to let me know that they receive plenty of support to disregard the complaints of other customers that were offended and were made to feel uncomfortable and tricked by this practice.
They are not a customer first establishment so I will not be giving them my business.
By the way—I was able to find the therapists social media and one of the first posts had a caption that read “I know my kitty Kat still pokes but you want me anyway” or something to that affect…so I know this was not just a masculine...
Read moreI received a facial here. The aesthetician was great and I enjoyed my facial. If I could give her 5 stars, I would. The reason for my low rating, is the front desk staff. My husband won the facial on a website/online platform. He received an email on how to book and he followed the instructions. He even called them to change the reservation to my name, which they said they did. However, they did not. I got there, checked in and ot was still in my husband's name but the locker had my name. So I move on and enjoyed my facial. The ambiance is fine and relaxing. What bugged me was during check out, the staff still didn't know what was going on. When I checked in I specifically said I won the facial online. At checkout, the lady at front desk said I owed the full facial price. I once again mentioned I was the winner of a promotional facial. In which the email specified it was a COMPLIMENTARY FACIAL. They obviously did not know how to process the promotion, and then said I owed $135 and that they would charge the card on file. They asked me about gratuity twice, but didn't know how to process a free facial. They immediately charged my husband's card. He had to go in and show them the email that clearly says it's COMPLIMENTARY. Then the front desk staff they gave us a refund but we have to wait 5-7 business days to get our money back. It seems like there isn't communication between management and front desk staff when it comes to this giveaway. The front desk definitely didn't know what was going on. That definitely ruined the experience for me. They didn't even give me the skincare products list the aesthetician said she would leave in front for me. I wanted to buy some products, but I changed my mind after all of...
