My son and I purchased a complete bedroom set from sales associate Keith Mayfield a few weeks ago - $4,000. The bed, boxsprings, mattress, dresser / mirror and two night stands were all part of the same Macy's purchase at the same time. Two weeks ago, two boxes showed up on my doorstep - they were the headboard and bedframe - I was told there would be two separate shipments, but I expected to be notified and thought it unusual that I had to carry the heavy bedframe abandoned on my doorstep inside and down the stairs. A call came in this morning that Macy's was making a delivery - no prior notice. The two man crew showed up and unpacked the mattress and boxsprings. I showed them the bedframe and headboard boxes - purchased from Macy's. The Macy's delivery guy told me that he could not set up the Macy's bedframe because he had not delivered it. I had him call his boss, thinking that the guy must be confused - this was a Macy's bed purchased at the same time and why they split a delivery I do not know, but set up the bed as I had paid for delivery, install and cleanup. Macy's wouldn't budge. Told me to call my salesman. I called Keith Mayfield on his cell. He answered and talked to the delivery crew. No solution. The crew left me with boxes and a huge job I know nothing about - putting together a bed. the solution was that Mr. Mayfield took $50 off the price. . . And, to top it off, one of the nightstands was not delivered. The delivery crew said he "heard it was on back order". And to top it off, the Macy's delivery guy became mad at me because I was upset about this. Unbelievable! There is a million pieces to a bedframe and you need all kinds of tools. I PAID FOR DELIVERY INSTALL AND CLEANUP!! This is Macy's. . . not a fly by night. Never again Macy's - tearing up my card and will cease doing business with you. Read moreI ordered my sofa mid January and was told it would be delivered mid-March... I loved it so I didn’t mind the wait... March came and went, no couch... however my card did continue to have the $2k m taken out of my account every month. I then get a call mid April saying my sofa is available to be delivered, I work M-F so I requested Saturday... they gave me an afternoon appointment but never came to deliver. I was then told it was rescheduled for Tuesday but I can’t take off a whole weekday so I asked it to be moved to the next Saturday. XPO arrived on time, go to set it up, and it’s missing parts. They tell me they will take it back and that a new one will be delivered the following Saturday... now i’m being told they don’t have anymore in stock (which is what we checked on when they came Saturday) and that the earliest they can deliver is the end of May... what a scam. They keep over charging me and now I’m going to have to wait almost six months for a couch. Buyer beware- don’t get roped...
Read moreOrdered a custom sectional (over $5000) and waited 13 weeks. I was told 3 weeks in a row that it would arrive in the warehouse in a day and then they would contact for me for a delivery. It was never when they said it would be and I called every week with no ew exact information. I then found out that it had been sitting in a different warehouse for who knows how long and they just didn't know it was there. Upon delivery, the corner section was missing and an incorrect piece was brought. I had to wait 48 hours, which ended up being 72 to be contacted about a new delivery date. I was then told they did not have the missing section and had no idea where it was or how long it would take to receive. I am in the process of trying to get someone to contact me about a return.
