These photos are of a great section of the Boise River in Eagle Idaho . The access point to this area of the Boise River is located at the North Channel Center. During the weekends most of the businesses are closed providing parking within this complex there are a few restaurants including Happy Teriyaki and a cupcake shop. Just outside the parking lot there are walking paths trails and sandy areas along the river. This location can get very crowded with swimmers and people floating on tubes and kayaks and families having picnics. The water is a nice temperature and has a slow moving currant during late summer months. Some areas are deep but mostly this section of the river is shallow anywhere from a few inches to 4-5 ft. Near by is a bridge where people jump off , at this area the river is much deeper most people still hit the bottom slightly while jumping off. The clarity of the water is pretty clean the city does a good job at keeping the river free of debris making it one of the best rivers for floating. Fishing is permitted there are trout and bass to name a few popular fish you might even see a turtle. There is a paved walking path near this area and there are no restroom facilities available or trash services or picnic tables it's pack it in pack it out. This area is not handicap assessable the sand in this area would make it very difficult to push a wheelchair through unless you stay on the paved path. We love this stretch of the Boise river area there are large shallow area for small children to play and a few deeper areas for those who really want to cool off I highly recommend this area for a fun experience . The photos show the characteristics of this area including a street sign showing where you turn and the building where we parked where we took...
Read moreDo not shop or spend your money here. They practice aggressive predatory towing and will have your car taken within minutes of parking. While the signs say clients can park here you risk having your car towed if you’re parked here for over an hour or leave the parking lot. This was confirmed by the manager of the restaurant I ate at where I sat and watched the tow truck circling by 5 to 6 times looking for their next victim. Parking lot wasn’t even full, it’s just a money making scam run by the property manager, security and towing company using vague signage and aggressive tactics. The impound lot is all the way on the other side of town and it’s a minimum of $315 to get your car back. You would think it’s a great location for lunch and time on the greenbelt but the property managers would rather make money towing vehicles then encouraging repeat business. Don’t reward these businesses when they don’t value you as a customer. I’ll never spend another penny in...
Read moreSpecifically, I stopped at Porterhouse. They have nice steaks, but the set up is a little disjointed and nobody really offered to explain to someone who clearly isn't a regular.
They should be like, "Are u here for lunch or shopping?" Because, "can I help you" is useless when you are trying to figure out what is what. At least that way you have a nice interaction and are aware there is a whole made to order lunch menu before you are already on your way out the door because you bought ice cream for lack of not knowing why you...
