The employeeâs review of being required to wash gloves after handling raw meat versus dispose of them is truthful and the restaurant is breaking important food safety/handling laws.
Gloves are to be thrown away OFTEN especially after handling raw meat and after or returning to handling all food in general before making drinks or handling money.
Gloves are cheap and if you own a restaurant, youâre going to go thru a lot to comply with the law and keep people from getting sick. For the restaurant to simply answer âDisgruntled Employeeâ is immature and shows that the glove review is true.
The employee said nothing that came off as âdisgruntled.â They stated they were told they were using too many gloves and were forced to wash contaminated gloves along with other employees. This sounds very accurate and instead of putting down the former employee, the company should address the issue at hand.
A word to wise for this restaurant: stop forcing employees to reuse gloves, you are breaking food safety/handling laws. You can buy a box of 1,000 gloves for pennies on the dollar. Better to change your gloves than get your employees and customers sick. Youâre dealing with raw meat! I doubt you sanitize surfaces correctly if youâre making employees reuse gloves. Thin disposable food handling gloves arenât meant to be hands! They arenât meant to be washed after handling raw meat or other food. You cannot wear gloves to handle money or make drinks and then go back and forth to making food.
Learn the law and stop being so immature and bitter for an employee informing the public of a food safety issueâjust...
Read moreUpdate: The owner apparently replied to this review but deleted it so I can't see their full response - only partial which was in the email notification I received (see photo). They seemed more concerned by other reviews than my experience. And yes, I use this account for negative reviews and to keep my anonymity. They are honest and valid reviews and I always share a detailed experience. Hopefully the owner will take my feedback to heart and work on their food rather than playing hide and seek with reviewers. I wish them the best of luck.
I didn't want to write a review but there isn't an option to do so directly to the company via their website - no "contact us" page. I always like to give the company the opportunity to make it write or get negative feedback privately. So...here goes.....
I usually go to the location by my office next to the Idaho Center in Nampa and it is always delicious. Today, I was in Eagle and ordered online to pick up. I was very disappointed. There merely a drizzle of sauce over the chicken but very little. The entire dish was extremely dry. The pieces of chicken without sauce - which was the majority - didn't taste like Teriyaki at all - just dry, grilled chicken. The rice was bare and hard to get down without teriyaki sauce. I did not enjoy this meal at all and, if this were my first time eating at this franchise, I would never go back to any of...
Read moreIâve spotted Happy Teriyaki throughout the Treasure Valley and always made a mental note about needing to give them a try. Iâm not sure if itâs the simple yet promising title or the cute lil logo but it appealed to me. So huge shoutout to a good friend who suggested we meet here for lunch.
My order was simple - just the Spicy Chicken Teriyaki bowl with brown rice and steamed veggies ($9.95). We didnât wait long at all, and the food came out fresh and HOT. My bowl did benefit from a few drops of Sriracha but other than that I didnât need to modify it at all. The steamed veggies were fresh and salted just right. My brown rice was cooked to perfection. Iâm not sure if some establishments miss the key that brown rice definitely takes longer to cook than white rice, itâs kind of a given but Happy Teriyaki got it right. The portion sizes are generous too. I wished I ordered a second side of rice to go along with the rest of my chicken that I wanted to save, because near the end I was eating just chicken. Iâll...
