At first our experience was great. The gal who did the intake was super sweet and was very knowledgeable- this seemed like it was the best place to take my grandfathers ring. We need to get the ring resized and add more sterling silver as the band had been worn. The large turquoise stone was cracked when we took it in but they assured us they would secure the pieces when they put it back in after the resizing. When we got the ring back it was a half size too big so when we took it back they said all they could do was add 2 small balls on the inside to make it better. Not only did they charge us for putting the balls in (which was their sizing mistake) the stone ended up falling out after 4 months at some point and is now lost forever. We are devastated as this was my grandfather’s ring that has passed and my husband never took this ring off. The quality of the work and the customer service to make it right after their mistakes was just not there. At this point we are paying a different jeweler to resize and find us another stone. Ben was Awesome!!! I took my wife’s grandmothers wedding ring & grandfather’s ring into him. The shank of grandmas ring needed replaced. To my surprise He used all the gold of my grandfather’s ring and made it into a new shank for grandmas ring! My wife was in tears when she realized that they were melted and made into one ring now. I have been to The Goldsmith twice now. On both occasions the owner was extremely courteous, personable and helpful. My first visit was due to my engagement band needing repairs after years of wear and tear. Not only did he make my ring look brand new again but he did not overcharge as I've found other places do. My second visit was to repair a necklace which he fixed while I was in the store. I highly recommend The Goldsmith and I will be returning for any of my future...
