My sister-in-law went into the gardens of Easton for rehabilitation she could not walk after having multiple surgeries on her neck and legs and stomach while there she had a hard time getting someone to change her catheter clean her Foley and do her enema considering that she could not bend or walk she needed assistance after 6 days of complaining they finally decided to send her to the hospital at the hospital do it because they didn't want to one nurse even told her that she wasn't going to do it it wasn't on the order since when does needing assistance for a daily basic need need to be put on an order her medicine was not corrected and after everything was said and done she was released but before she could be released she was diagnosed with covid they never even told her that they had some sort of outbreak maybe going on people are not wearing their masks nurses are not wearing their masks and they're spreading it and these poor people cannot fight it well finally after a week or so they released her she packed up all her belongings and the nurses took it up to the station because My sister could not carry it in her wheelchair it was at the station when they loaded my sister onto the van and they gave her the box she got home and she realized that her underwear a sports bra her inhalers clippers and some other things were missing now mind you they were in the box when she packed them The nurse stood right there while she packed them and while she was there they took her shower gel and her baby powder I don't know what kind of place this is but I find that highly unacceptable there's hardly ever a doctor on call it's always a nurse and the nurse is very nice but she's overwhelmed a lot of the staff are brutal they are overwhelmed The physical therapy was supposed to be on her legs was only on her arms and half the time she could not go because she had such stomach spasms it was incredible her feet were horrendous they were so scaly and dry it was like a snake shedding a skin please be aware of that when putting someone in this place to get help you are going to have to help this person also by doing the natural care of that goes with bodily functions and bodily care because it's not on the order the nurses aids won't do it it's sad that one aid even went as far as to throw my sisters bag for her Foley on the floor contaminating it these people are very overwhelmed very short staffed and very short tempered but Ruby and the night shift were excellent they were very caring very gentle and very helpful it's sad that they should might need to look at what the night...
Read moreMy mother is a bedridden TBI survivor. She wasn’t even there a week and ended up with sepsis. Has spent the last week fighting it in the hospital. I called the staff the night my mom went in to the ER for sepsis and being told that I’d get a call in the morning to resolve any issues. Well, I have yet to receive any call or freaking apology. We have proof from the hospital that they wouldn’t change my mom’s catheter or her trac tube. The facility is run down, the nurses clip their toes at the desk in between patients (wouldn’t see anyone using hand sanitizer after touching their feet) the main charge nurse spent hours scrolling on her phone while we waited for her to change my mom (my dad ended up getting a cna to help him {my dad} change her). I have proof and legal documents with everything that has happened. I’m going in person tomorrow to open a neglect charge because my mom is literally fighting for her life due to the negligence here. Not to mention the day she got transferred there from the hospital, not even a day later, they stole all the medical supplies for other patients leaving my mom with nothing. I truly have no words for how disgusting this establishment is from the way it’s ran to the way it looks and smells. Save your loved one the trouble and suffering, don’t choose this place. (The nurse who would give my family attitude and refuse to help us change our mom because we called her out on the neglect, and pictures of my mom’s catheter being clogged for 3 days straight and we got “we don’t know what’s happening” … a bunch of nurses who can’t even catch early signs of...
Read moreMy mother, who recently passed away, was a resident for almost 2 years. It was a huge transition for her and us! The staff did all they could to make it as smooth a transition as possible! We visited daily with our Mom/Grammy and soon the staff and other residents became like family! My 93 year old mother fell ill to numerous sicknesses including dementia but not before celebrating an incredible and unforgettable Thanksgiving, 93rd birthday, Christmas and New Year's all along while transitioning! She went home to Our Lord in January! We are unbelievably grateful to everyone who reached out as well as the staff at Thomas Porambo's Funeral Home, Summit Hill; The Gardens of Easton and the wonderful staff at Angelic Paths Hospice, Emmaus! All these wonderful people were by her side and our's throughout her active passing and her Celebration of Life services during the first two weeks of January 2023. We surely do miss our Mother/ Grandmother/Great Grandmother/Aunt/Sister/Cousin/Friend yet we know we gained many friends along the way, especially those from The Gardens and Angelic Paths! We can not say enough about our Mom's experience at the Gardens of...
